Oooohhhh...we have another planner in our midst...we're waiting for your expertise to kick in...;)

Lapu-Lapu (Kaliph Pulaka) (c.1491 – 1547) was the earliest known indigenous Visayan chieftain, and datu (king) of Mactan in the Philippines. He is known as the first native of the archipelago to have resisted Spanish colonization. He is now regarded as the first National hero of the Philippines.
On the morning of April 27, 1521, Lapu-Lapu and the men of Mactan, armed with spears and kampilan, faced Spanish soldiers led by Portuguese captain Ferdinand Magellan. In what would later be known as the Battle of Mactan, Magellan and several of his men were killed.
In his honor, the Cebuano people have erected a statue and church in Mactan Island and also renamed the town of Opon in Cebu to Lapu-Lapu City.

So...as Tera and I sit drinking our Lapus...we will be thinking of the sacrifice this brave warrior made...;)

OMG, you are so clever!:surfweb:
I think I will have one in remembrance of him!:rotfl2:

I finally made it over to your report. Tera, Jennifer. You have my commisseration and cheers. You're great moms. Dam has my sympathies for putting up with you two fruitcakes. He'd get along great with my DH - The Great Dadoo. We aren't going to be there for Star Wars, but I'm sure we will be stalking the Storm Troopers and other denizens of the Republic anyway.

Pizza, that's one food both my picky eaters will devourer...but only without sauce. Weird, I know. They will be eating it at least one night on our trip as well.

I've subscribed. Keep it coming. Of course, it IS distracting me from MY pre-trip report writing...so if I slow down, I'll blame you two LOL

Oh no you don't. :sad2: We all must endure the pain and humiliation that goes along with BS day. :teeth:

Go forth and laugh, cry and shake your head under the beautiful florescent lighting of the dreaded fitting room from hell. :lmao: And then come back and tell us all about it. Just like I did. (Insert shameless pre-TR plug):rolleyes1

I have to wear a swimsuit when the high school kids I work with have swimming. I'll have to put on a suit at least twice a week. Those poor kids will have hysterical blindness once they see my thunder thighs. :3dglasses
