I am going to WDW in 30 days for my birthday. My family is getting me a Slingshot 300 AW from lowepro. Is this bag considered ok for a Carry On bag for Southwest Airlines?

Thanks

Should be fine, I have a 200 and have no problems, have also used a mini treker, which is closer in size to the 300 with no problems as well.

I've traveled w/ my Slingshot 300 all over the U.S. and quite a few cities in Europe during the Disney Med Cruise last year. It's quite acceptable on almost all major airlines.

I know this is obvious for most folks, but...never EVER put your DSLR's through regular luggage unless you have it in a airline approved foam hardcase (like the pros do).

You will love the bag :) It's ability to turn sideways at an instant allows you to grab your camera for that fast take. It's also sizable enough to pack many lenses, accessories, flash, mem cards, etc...
