I went under this on the Disney webisite and clicked on April 6 which was highlighted. It pulled up a search for rates. I did the 6th through the 13th at the GF. Once it pulled it up I switched it to Garden View and when it brought up the rate it showed each day at $435 but it had a little boz that said this was a discount room only special or something like that. That's still Peak season right? So that would be about a 15% discount. I didn't try it on any other's yet. Just thought I would share. I didn't know it did that.

Actually, peak season ends March 29th. So the rate you got was just regular season rate, no discount. :sad2:
The Wonderful Weeks is just a marketing tool Disney uses to push the "slower" times of the year. Regular rates apply. They did send email/postcard pin discounts last year and I think this year as well to coincide with some of these "Wonderful Weeks", but on the Disney site it is just giving regular room rates.
The general public discounts for April and May will hopefully will come later....:rolleyes1

I hadn't looked up the seasons. I thought usually peak season ended later. But it does put up a little banner that says

"Special Rate Type : Room Only Offer"

That's weird.

I think peak season ends early this year because Easter is so early, (March 23rd) and that seems to coincide with Spring break etc.
I did edit my post to add that Disney has sent pin code email/postcards discounts to coincide with the " Wonderful Weeks". These are person/address specific.
Not sure why the room only special rate banner is on that page. Unfortunately, the rates are just the regular season rates:confused3

Question on the home page of disboards there is a link to a calendar for the Wonderful Weeks of Disney and they have listed 5/27 - 6/2. When I compared this to Disney's website they do not have this listed as a Wonderful Week. I also called and the CM told me that it is not a Wonderful Week, what gives? I currently am going May 3 - 11 and would push it back a couple of weeks for the lighter crowds.:sad2: Does anyone know what's going on here??
