We decided not to wake up too early this morning. We just picked up some doughuts from The store at Old Key West for breakfast that morning, got ready and took the bus to Magic Kingdom. We had done most of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland during early entry the day before, so we wanted to try to cover some of the other attractions today.
Before we left our room, I called and made a PS at Tony's for lunch that day. We really like it there and usually try to make a point of eating there each trip. We didn't have much time before our PS by the time we got to the MK so we decided to do the loop on the train (which I really love) and then go to Tony's for lunch. We made it back in time to check in for our PS, but there was a little bit of a wait. My husband stayed in the waiting area while my sister, my two children and myself went and checked out the Exhibition Center right next door. We really like this area with all the cute things set up to take pictures with. We always seem to find some of the Seven Dwarfs back there as well. Grumpy and Doc were there and we got some autographs and pictures with them before heading back for our lunch. We were seated in the glass enclosed porch section of the restaurant. I like sitting out there because it's fun to watch all that's going on outside. We had a great lunch and an even better dessert. They had a chocolate chip creme brulee which was to die for. I'm a creme brulee fanatic! It is by far my all time favorite dessert. There version was very yummy. We all ordered the same thing for dessert and enjoyed it thoroughly. YUM!
After lunch we went to Adventureland and did the Treehouse. I really like this attraction although I know it is not a favorite of many. My family loves the story and the movie, so that may help a bit. Climbing those stairs was good excercise after that big lunch! From there we got fast passes for the Jungle Cruise, which we never ended up returning for. And then went to Pirates. This is also a big family favorite. There was no line at all and we were able to walk right on to our own boat. Then we went to Frontierland and took turns riding Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. The lines were virtually non-existent on Splash Mountain which waas great, but I think that was due mostly in part to the chilly weather that day. I think it was in the upper 50's and pretty cloudy that day. Not a great day to be getting soaked. But we did it anyway and it was great fun. We didn't get too wet though. Then we took the raft over to Tom Sawyer Island. This is one of my son's favorite things to do. He loves exploring and going through the tunnels. We had lots of fun going over the barrel bridge. My kids wanted to do that over and over again. We must have gone around 6 times. My husband was bouncing us around quite a bit while we were on it and my kids were loving that. We spent a good hour there and then took the raft back. Went to the shooting gallery, then went over to Hall of Presidents and then we did the Haunted Mansion twice. Again, there were no lines. On the way out we tried looking for the wedding ring in the cement at the exit. We must have looked so funny as all these people were walking past us as we were searching so hard for this thing. We couldn't find it anywhere. We asked the CM at the entrance for some hints and she just told us it was somewhere near the exit and too keep looking. We searched some more and eventually my husband said he thought he found it. We all went over to look for it and it was actually something I had noticed earlier, but didn't think it was it. We were there huddled over looking and trying to figure out if it was really the ring and another CM walked by us and told us that it was indeed it. We were so happy to finally find it.
After that we went to get a spot for the MSEP. We got a great spot and we didn't have to wait that long before the parade started. It was getting pretty cold as the sun was going down. The wind was really picking up and it was pretty uncomfortable. The parade was wonderful though and we enjoyed ourselves even though we were cold. We decided to leave right after the parade.
We were getting pretty hungry. We didn't have any dinner plans for that evening. I thought it might be fun to go to the food court at Dixie Landings since it was so close to OKW and we weren't really in the mood for a big sit down meal. When we got there however, it was very crowded and we decided not to stay. We just ended up going back to OKW and enjoyed a nice dinner at Olivia's. Then went back to our room for another restful night sleep. We were planning to go to Animal Kingdom the following morning.
