Wonder - November 9, 2013 - Bahamas from Galveston

In Galveston we enter and are announced on Deck 3. It is really one of my favorite parts of the cruise experience. I remember Deck 1 being the deck we leave to debarking. Sherry:cool1:

My family and I are super excited to be joining this cruise. We sailed on the Magic out of Galveston last Nov 10 and while on board we booked this cruise because we had such a good time! This is my first time joining a Disney board although I have used them tons for useful advice and information. I have two boys 8 and 5. My husband and I will be celebratingpixiedust: our 12th anniversary and my 40th birthday. I look forward to meeting you on board and having a super time! Is there still room in the FE group? I have never done it before but it sounds like fun...

So glad you are joining this cruise. I don't think the Fe is closed yet. Dana is in charge (thank you, Dana).

We are traveling with my four sisters-in-laws for this cruise. We took my granddaughters on a Disney Cruise in February and the grandsons in March. I love sailing Disney and hope they come back to Galveston soon.

I think we are doing a meet and greet for this board and I am looking forward to meeting you and your family. Sherrypirate:

Does anyone know whether there are character breakfasts on board or Tea with Alice? (my sister mentioned the Tea with Alice). I was just curious.

When I asked my TA about the character breakfast last week, this was her reply:

"DCL advised me that the Character Breakfast may be offered on your sailing and they can’t say for sure. When they do have the character breakfasts you would receive a ticket in your stateroom once you are onboard telling you which day your Character breakfast will be on. When they have the character breakfasts they are on sea days."

Don't know about the tea.

Hi everyone. My sister and I are pretty sure we will be joining all of you on this cruise. We are just waiting another week or so to see if any last minutes deals come out. If the FE is still open and we would love to join. We have participated on our other Disney cruises and really enjoy it.

Dana - If you could let me know if FE is still open I will email our information. We want to be included before you close it out even though we haven't book yet.

I have been on 4 Disney cruises recently and not one of them had Tea with Alice. But the 7 day and the 14 day ones did have a character breakfast. I love the breakfast lots of individual pics with select characters. When you get onboard you will receive a ticket with your meal rotation on it. At the very bottom if we have a character breakfast (fingers crossed) it will tell which day and where. Your server should alert you at dinner the night before the breakfast. :cool1: Sherry

Yes it is still open :) and we would love to have you join! Are y'all from Memphis? My family is about an hour from there. We go to Memphis often to shop and eat!

Yes there is still room. We would love to have you join! This is my families' first Disney cruise and I thinking participating in the FE group will make it even more exciting! Also, another group member created a Facebook page for our cruise. There have been lots of good tips posted on there.

Yes, we are from Memphis. Home of Elvis and Beale Street. I will email our info to you as I am 99.9% sure we are going to book. We waited this long, so we may wait one more week to see if by some slim chance some IGT,OGT, or VGT rates show up. It appears they are only offering these rates on the Western Carrbbean, but you never know.

Thank you! (and I'm so glad to see I'm not the only Grandma on the trip).

Have you seen something definite about a DIS group meet and greet? Time/place?

We just booked for this cruise! This time it is just me and my DS 8 along with my parents and some friends of theirs. My father asked my son what he wanted for his birthday and he said another Disney cruise...so guess what he got! ::yes::

Unfortunately I will be leaving DH and DD3 home on this trip :( Since DH just got a new job. We decided that since it was DS birthday gift, we would make it a mother/son trip.

He loved the FE last time, so we'd love to join the group! I'll send an email with all of our info.

We spent this last weekend in New Orleans. We had a great time eating our way thru the French Quarter and we saw that down by the river close to the Convention Center that there was a lot of cruise parking. Does anyone know if Disney has sailed out of New Orleans in the past? I would love it if they did a two year contract like they did here in Galveston. Sherry

I dont know but I have always suspected that would be the next Gulf of Mexico port serving Texas and Louisiana.
