Hey there Laura! How ya' doin'?!!!

I have to step out to take my girls to soccer practice now but I'll be back tonight - and hang out off and on Sunday ... saturday we're headed up to Santa Barbara for the afternoon - and Soccer games in the AM. I referee for the girls and Alicia coaches. Sorry I have not been haunting the DIS fer a while - we had another cruise a month an' a half ago so I wuz kind of focused on that one and its' thread a bit. We're planning another cruise for after this one in January - being an Alaska one for next August. That one is getting sticky as we can't get exactly the ground tour booked being that it is sold out... so we're trying to get Princes to add another bus for my group. Of course, we also need the hotels and everything else too - for them to do it for us. 2012 we're thinking of doing Europe again...? I hope everythings' happy and smooth for ya?

Hey all! I am getting my stuff together for the FE's. It's getting close now! If you are participating in the FE exchange, can you let me know how many people (adults and children) are in your traveling party? Also, I know Des is doing the WBPC, but is anyone else? I don't want to duplicate gifts. I copied the list from the first page, can you also let me know if your information is correct? Thanks!

Signing on to this thread. We will be on this cruise along with the PC.

Hi, to A Little Pixie Dust, Brooklyn, etc. We will also be on this cruise along with the PC. They are going to have to pry me off the ship!:rotfl2:

I was astounded when I was able to book Palo for dinner on Friday, and brunch and tea on Saturday. Doug & I will stop by our assigned table to say "hello" to our table mates and to our server and assistant server - since they probably won't see us at any meal.

We are moving up from 5510 to 6090. Hope to meet all of you soon.:grouphug:

Welcome to all new cruisers!!!! I have a question to those who used Disney visa as a form of payment. I just paid off my balance couple of days ago, now will i be able to see the OBC ($50) online? It only shows the $25 booking online OBC. Thanks!

Does anyone know how to teleport from LA to Port Canaveral? :teleport:

I entered the contest for a free 4 day cruise on the Dream for 1/23/11 and then remembered that's the day I'm getting OFF the Wonder! :headache:

What a delima that would be.......

You were fortunate in successfully booking all your dining resies!

This cruise isn't showing up on the DCL site anymore.

Highly recommend pre-paying or bringing cash for tips. Don't want to spend any time at guest services if you can help it.

I wanted to enter that contest too, but I have no idea how I could do it. Good luck to you though! pixiedust:

Jackie -

- yeah... I noticed it was not appearring on the DCL searches either. I have more families who would like to come along with us - so they are supposed to contact my TA (or thiers') to try and pick up a canceling reservation!

WHat do you figure the odd of that happenin' are?

Well, there usually are a few cancelllations at the 75 day mark (11/7), so there's some hope. Maybe not as much as hope as for a longer cruise, since some folks got on this one at a great price. So probably fewer dropouts due to $$ issues.

.

Yeah,

U kno Jackie... when we booked this (IDK when it was exactly tho...) we thought it was a good deal. HOWEVER, we double checked the 7 day Mexican DCL sailings and we saw a few which were even cheaper then ours - on a cost per person per day basis! The only thing that prevented us from switching on the spot was two fold - 1st) the dates of the bargain sailings were bad for us - and 2nd) We already had many familiesbooked or committed to sail with us here! Now we have some 14 families booked... or so it was the last time I checked! Whew! And none are blood relatives - unlike the So Carib sailing we took this past Sept with only blood relatives in tow!

Yes there were (are still I guess) good MR rates out there and they did do kids sale free for many dates too.

I know I discovered this cruise just after they had done a really low Cat 12 (OK...11C) rate which I didn't get because little sister "". But was still a pretty good rate. We alerted some gal pals to the deal, but by the time they were organized, the really inexpensive rate was gone. SO we added them to our cabin and upped to a verandah (better known as the 'time out' spot). Still a good value for us as it was now being split four ways. The low travel expense (we'll fly one way and drive home) and only having to take one day off work, made this a great birthday weekend trip for sis. Any DCL cruise for less than $200 a day is in my acceptable vacation expense range. But this isn't a cheap as the per day cost of the transatlantic...now THAT was a value!

I think that is correct. (correct me if I'm wrong) I used my Disney Visa on our first cruise and received the $25 OBC but I don't remember seeing any mention of it anywhere but a small postcard left in my stateroom on the first day of the cruise.
