Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

suzcruz, great breakfast place right up the street....Gaffy Street Diner. We saw it on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Tried it before our last cruise and I couldn't wait to get off the ship so we could go back!:thumbsup2

So lets skip breakfast on the ship and all go there Sunday morning! :thumbsup2 OK, just have tea and toast on the ship to hold us over........

Hi Laura

.

We have the same thing from a 2006 cruise that we took. We're still all Facebook friends and keeping up with each other's lives there. We were up to a 3rd thread here on the Dis, I think, before it finally died off. I tried to get things going on our 2008 cruise thread, but it was hard to live up to the hype, I guess :) I also started a thread for our May 2011 Dream cruise, but it's only one page 9 and has been active for quite some time... it just won't have the same level of camaraderie that I've come to expect. This thread has been alot of fun, though, thanks much in part to you DsnyDaddy, captaincrash, and a bunch of other fun people. I am looking forward to the 40 hour party with you!

Thanks for the compliment! I'm really looking forward to this cruise. I can't wait to get to meet all of you!

We are staying at the Harbor Blvd HoJo the night before - trying to sneak in a little bit of DL time. We're just hoping for some travel-Pixiedust that morning. I'll probably still make my DH get up at 4am just to be safe :rotfl:

HoJo still has the Entertainment Rate available for the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th if anyone is still looking for a place to stay...and get in some extra magic!

Yep, I snagged that ultra cheap rate for two nights before the cruise. Almost made as stoked as I would have been staying at GC!

I had the same problem! I just kept mesing with it and got it to place next to. Find the end of the code for your ticker and the beginning of the IMG code for your cruise logo. Make sure there is no space between the two. If the IMG code starts on a new line, put your cursor at the beginning of the code and backspace so you remove the "new line" that is in there.

Hope that helps - I'm no expert on signatures, mine is pretty simple, but I'm having fun playing around with it :surfweb:

Off work in two hours and heading to Disneyland to experience our first ever Halloweentime in the park! WAAAAYYYYY too excited to work and the clock has stopped moving - arrrrggghhhh :)

Yep that's how I did it!

Have a great time. I really wanted to go this year but cannot afford the time!

I will wave to you as we come in...it will be such a strange feeling knowing I don't have to get off of the ship. We have never done a B2B.

There are two really great feelings while on the ship.
#1 is first lunch in Parrot Cay (or Topsider's) where everything is new and just beginning. You have the whole cruise in front of you.
#2 is the last night of the first cruise when you are doing a B2B. Everyone is running around packing trying to get the bags out in time, and you are in Cadillac with a drink listening to great piano music. :cloud9:

I think the PC cruise we did have something like 80% repeat or somethinglike that.

Yeah ... that was an unexpected pleasure - Speaking to the intensity of enthusiasm on that sailing - that is.

RIght now I'm wrangling through arrangements for a new sailing next summer for my expanded family. We thought we were sailing on Princess with a land tour - but it's sold out supposedly. Our travel dates are quite fixed so I have just a couple of options. Both kind of a cut below what we had in mind - so I am casting about considering other options. Maybe renting a nice place somewhere and having the expanded family gather there? Who knows if we'll go with the 2nd choice sailing or come up with something completely different?

We are also staying at the Hojo. We are coming in Monday and staying in a kids pirate suite.

Not to worried about traffic since we have a concierge suite and can head to shorter lines.

This is such a short trip for us that we're not going to be packing much. I think we're going to just roll our bags off with us. Still means we have to pack, tho...

I totally agree with #1.

#2 I will finally get to experience on the Dream next year:cloud9:

:lmao: The bad news is...we have to pack too..we are moving cabins but I think there will be a certain amount of joy knowing I don't have to rush!

Hi fellow cruisers!
I'm a bit behind following the thread. I don't think I ever gave my kids ages. DD is 12 and DS is 17.

I know I read somewhere what time we can board the Wonder and what time we have to be off....but I don't remember where it was. I'm sure one of you cruise professionals can tell me :)

Pizzie Duster, where did you eat? I don't know of many restaurants around the port! TIA!

Gosh, I tried to google it but can't remember what it was called. But I will try to keep looking. I remember it was the best calamari~! There was out door seating.

There is also a fish market type place that my DH wanted to eat at and it wasn't my style :rotfl:

WELCOME 4FOSTERKIDS! :woohoo::woohoo::grouphug::grouphug:

It's a favorite of ours. Kind of dumpy, but great food!

Will someone else look at this from the San Pedro Cruise ships in port schedule: Here

Tell me if it looks like we're in a port for Saturday...

Maybe they are just reserving our parking space! :lmao:

....and possibly they do that in case there is nasty weather...we can just stay at the pier and party!
