Wonder heading back over the Atlantic?

They'll all once they return to U.S. Waters have to go through the CDC safety reclassification (red/green) procedure before they can even enter port. Which means inspections, and quarantine of the entire crew for possibly 2 weeks. Then they still have to go though the steps set up in the CDC Framework for Conditional Sailing Order (CSO) and eventually conduct a test cruise (each ship has to do one) before they can even begin to consider resumption of operations. Honestly doubt that cruises will not resume until Spring of 2021.

If that's the case, does it even make sense for the Magic to cross back to North America? If am DCL, I might be tempted to keep the ship in Europe... and maybe entertain the idea of offering a few additional European cruises. That way, they potentially don't have with CDC requirements either until the ship returns in Fall 2021... if even applicable by then...

That's exactly what I was thinking, too.

Possibly although right now most of Europe is closed to North Americans.

We are suppose to be on the transatlantic in May and I've been thinking the same thing. A 13 night Covid mixer, I mean TA cruise, is not how I'd think DCL would want to start the European cruise season either.

...and I know that North Americans do represent the bulk of the people even on a DCL European cruise... that said, with proper promotions, they could probably fill the ship to "capacity" with Europeans

The Fantasy has left Southhampton and is headed for USPC according to Cruisemapper.

Not that I expect DCL operations to resume short term but this is still good news in my book.
