THE FINAL DAY

We leave the room with sadness in our hearts and head up to the buffet for the last time. We enjoy our breakfast and leave the ship. I actually had tears in my eyes. We find our luggage and head to the car for the "ANT" inspection. The car is clear and we head off. We see our table mates from the table next to us at dinner in a car along the freeway and wave good bye to them.


Final Thoughts

The Disney Wonder Cruise was the best vacation yet. It truely was a wonderous experience. The service was top notch and the fun never stopped. Would we do it again.....yes in a heartbeat!!

Hints that helped us from the DIS:

1. Use Calgons packing list. It was very useful.
2. Refer to Dave's site as it answered alot of other questions.
3. Bring tons of sunscreen and apply often.
4. Do not wait until the last day to do your laundry. The laundry room gets to be very hot and very crowded.
5. Be sure to visit Grouper's game room on Castaway Cay.
6. Bring lots of film and take your camera everywhere. I was able to get most of the characters on the ship. The photo of Captain hook with the kids is priceless and I was lucky enough to get a photo of the king mouse himself "Mickey".
7. Be one of the first ones off at CC if you want to get a hammock.
8. Have fun and relax.

I really enjoyed your posts. You seemed to have a fun yet relaxing trip. My trips usually have a ton of fun but are more hectic. What's your secret??

What is my secret to a fun and relaxing trip????? My first secret is to leave all problems at home. I knew that this trip was needed to re-energize myself so I let go of most things that would normally stress me out. By using the tips on the Dis board alot of the unknown questions were answered. When we got our navigators we would highlight our activities for the day and would follow them for the day making slight changes when necessary. By having the crew members there to answer all questions made our lives relaxing and calm. Lastly, having the crew there to make us laugh and smile at every corner made our trip extra special. I wish you all the best with your upcoming trip and remember to leave your worries at home!!!!

I enjoyed reading your journal entries. One comment and one question.

comment--I am very nervous about burning. We are from Maine (I am very white, Irish and need to say no more!!) the sun in not that brutal here and I still get red after dipping myself into sunscreen!! I think I will need to invest in some nice cover ups. Thank you.

Questions--what is the "ANT" talk? We will be driving and leaving our car ---somewhere--DH has that under control I am sure. Please tell me it is not ants getting into your car. Is this in the cruise parking or hotel parking?

I think you will be alright with the sun if you keep lathering up with high spf lotion. We also brought hats and put our t-shirts and shorts on while running around the island.

As for the Ants. The Port Canaveral parking lot has had alot problems with ants infesting the cars. Just be sure to dump all foods, drinks and juices and you will be fine. Not one ant was found in our car.
