When I first started this thread, I had no idea that a Facebook group had already been started and the Fish Extender was well under way on that site. So far everyone seems to be on Facebook and is OK with having the FEE group come from there. Here is a link to the Facebook Page.

I'm looking forward to virtually meeting the new friends who will be on the ship before we meet in person!

So glad you joined in on the thread! I'm so glad that we aren't the only folks on the ship! How sweet that you are doing B2B wedding and honeymoon cruises!

As folks join in (and I hope there are more) we can set up meet and greets, but on most cruises we try to do them around 3PM in the Promenade lounge on embarkation day since that's the easiest public space to get to and before everything gets going on the cruise. I hope others join us and we have a nice group of folks on our cruise!

We are excited for the cruise, and glad to see you stepped up and got this board going!

I will be joined with my DW and my two daughters. This will be our 6th cruise! Our last 2 cruises were on the Dream and Fantasy, and although they were fun, they really are just SO BIG! We are looking forward to going on the smaller ships again, and meeting up with folks here and at the meet up.

This will be our 7th Disney Cruise. My name is Okie, DH is Rick, DS is Josh-who is traveling in his own room, DD is Chelsea traveling with her boyfriend Andrew-his first Disney Cruise.
Our last cruise was on the Disney Dream--too big a ship for us. We have always been on the Magic and loved it. Can't wait to be on a smaller ship--our first time on the Wonder.
Will talk to the "kids" about the fish extender--they will have to make their own for their own rooms .

I'm Josh! I've spent most of my past cruising history on the great Disney Magic, which, as Simbalic said, is a much more appropriate size for me than the Dream. The dream was just too confusing to navigate, do you agree?
Anyway, I'm hoping to bring my girlfriend, new to cruising, along with. She says that large ships are unnerving to her, but I will sway her, no worries! The both of us come from the cloudy state of Pennsylvania, and would absolutely like to join everyone in a meet and greet, and potentially the fish extenders. I know a fish extender game or two that some people might enjoy.

Hello everyone! I am glad to of finally found a board for this cruise. I tried creating one but for some reason I was unable to post it. This will be my first time cruising with Disney and I will also have 6 other people cruising as well, all of which are newbies. My daughter will be the only young child but when anything pertains to Disney we are all young. So that being said I am going to speak with those in other state rooms and see if they would also like to join the FEE. I will be posting soon and look forward to chatting with everyone.

Something has occurred with our cruise that I have heard has taken place with other cruises. Traditionally FEE have originated from the DISboards, however with the rise of Facebook as a means for Cruisers to connect, more and more folks are creating Cruise groups on Facebook.

There is a link on this page to the Facebook Cruise Group and I'm not sure how many folks who have posted here are participating there as well. The reason I mention this is that so far people here have indicated a potential interest in a FEE, but no one has given a firm commitment. Unbeknownst to myself the folks on the Facebook Cruise had already set up a FEE amongst Facebook users before I had even set up this page.

I know that there are people who prefer not to use Facebook. If there are folks on this thread that are in that mind, and if we had enough people participating, we could have a FEE from folks on the DIS. I am already involved in the Facebook FEE, but would be happy to set up another for the DIS group if there were enough people here that are interested.

Please post your thoughts on this if you have any! Thanks!

I am so excited people are finally meeting on here for our cruise! We booked this one a year ago on our first disney cruise. I will be traveling with my husband and three daughters. My sister, brother and SIL will also be taking their first cruise with us then. We are also on the Facebook page and would love to do a FE!

I have sent a request to also join the facebook group but I have yet to get approval . I can communicate either way here, there or both. I will participate in the fish extender for my daughter Im just waiting on my other two rooms who are going to tell me if they will as well. Does the fish extender have an adult version?

My thought is that unless we have any folks that object to FB that we should just go with the FB version of the FEE and let the folks who have already set it up handle it. We can still chat here, I prefer the DIS over FB but it's better to keep one FEE going. Since it seems many of us are on the FB page unless things change we'll just go with the FB FEE.

She told me that she posted over here, but I'm not sure that she actually knows what the DIS is. She should approve you soon, she seems pretty good about approving new members.

Welcome to those who are new to the board since I last spoke! I'm very excited for you Raven, being your first cruise with the one and only mouse. By far my favourite type of vacationing.
I'm much more comfortable posting on DIS rather than Facebook. These forums bring back a lot of good memories from past cruises and I'd prefer to dedicate my pre-cruising efforts here. Would someone kindly elaborate on what a FEE is and how it works?
