A little background to start the trip report.
DH, (Homer) and I, (Marge) have done 3(DH) and 5(me) previous Disney Wonder cruises.

DH is a CPA who worked 568 hours between March 1 and April 15th. That's an average of 12 hours a day 7 days a week. After 25+ years of this I knew he would need a relaxing vacation were he would not be inclined to get in touch with the office. We took a 4 day Wonder cruise in April of 03 and it worked like a charm, so I thought a repeat was due.
This was to be his first cruise in 2 years and my last cruise was in Feb of 04. I took our 2 DD's and DD's best friend on the 4 day Wonder and we stayed in 5020. This cruise DH and I had 5520.

Sat April 16th~
We had an early flight to MCO and arrived around 12:30pm. After getting our luggage and our rental car form National's EA, (pick anything but a white car, dear) we were on our way to our room at Boardwalk Villas by 1:15pm.
I used DVC points to book a stay in a studio room, which had a nice view of the Swan and Dophin Hotels and the Tower of Terror across the waterway.
Happily the room was ready when we arrived as not too many people check in on Saturdays to avoid the high weekend points.
We unpacked and decided that the 3 broken pretzels that they provided on the plane did not do the trick for us, we needed real food. We walked to Epcot via the International Gateway and walked up to the Rose and Crown to see about lunch. Bad news here as R&C was booked solid for the entire day. We soon found out that everything was booked solid for the rest of the day. The fast food stands were 20+ people deep! This was all a shock to us as we usually go to the parks in Jan and October when it is blissfully empty. I realized that it is the first day of the Flower and Garden show, a very nice day weather-wise and every other Orlando local, plus all the tourists from the entire state of Mass, and most every other NE state is here on this day. DH is still feeling the effects of not enough sleep and is starting to get a headache. We look for a short line somewhere and finally decide to eat at Sommerfest in Germany. It still takes 30 minutes to get our order of two brautwurst with kraut and cokes. Luckly we found an empty table as we got our food and the food was very good, or maybe we were just starving (no, really it was great food).
DH felt better but I knew we couldn't stay long. All I wanted to do was to see the DVC member/AP preview of Soarin'.
After 35 minutes of waiting in line we got on Soarin'. I enjoyed it but I probably will not make a special effort to see it every trip nor would I wait over 20 minutes for it. It didn't have the motion I thought it would nor was it long enough to suit me. DH felt the same about it.
We left the park and went back to our room where we slept for 3 hours.
After the nap, DH felt much better and had a huge appeitite, so we went down to the Boardwalk and after a few minutes wait we were seated at Big River Grill for dinner. Food was good, the beer was even better and we were happy. We waddled back up to our room and called it a night so we would wake up ready to go Cruising in the morning! :cheer2:
