Wonder--10-day Hawaii to Vancouver 9/17/2015

Anyone booking flights yet?

I just bought 2 direct tickets from Bellingham, WA to Honolulu for just over $300. I used my companion ticket ($122) and a regular coach ticket. So it will be just under $200 for each of us including baggage fees.

Now I'm on the hunt for a good hotel for 4 nights before the cruise.

Vancouver has lots of hotel choices. Panny is popular, but convenience has a price. What's your budget?

Departing on the Sept trip? That's shoulder season with plenty of availability.

No, 4 nights in Honolulu before the cruise. I live just outside Vancouver but we are flying out of Bellingham since it's so much cheaper.

When I went there last, a tour company had be staying at the Sand Villa. It's basically motel grade with a motel mainland price. So close to the Waikiki and the tour buses all pickup around the Hyatt a few blocks away.

Not sure as I have never been to Hawaii. My mom and I are not big beach people. She will swim in a pool. Is there a good shopping centre or attractions that we should visit? We don't need a 4 or 5* hotel. When I do WDW, I'm fine with a value resort.

I actually think we will be meeting BEFORE this cruise (10/25 Halloween cruise on the Fantasy!)

YAY!! Julie just explained that she and Sam became friends on this last cruise. Their birthdays are 1 day apart and I think she was in your cabin, (despite our rule about no going into others cabins)

She is really excited to be sailing again with all of you Did Jacob end up meeting Nico at the Vibe on this last cruise?

Well I just looked at flights on Alaska and it appears they may have cut the direct flights. I can't find any direct flights from Bellingham to Honolulu anymore. I haven't received an e-mail from them about cancelling the flight.

I haven't priced out flights home, but it looks like from ATL, I'm going to have an overnight in Portland or Seattle. Good news is I have friends in both places

I have booked and paid for the direct flight but I do not see it listed on Alaska Airlines website. I find it hard to believe it is sold out already 10 months in advance. If they have cancelled it shouldn't I have received an e-mail or phone call?

If they canceled they should have notified you. You might just want to call and confirm your flight

Maybe they were re-doing their flights as they now have direct flights on the Friday and Sunday evenings from Bellingham. I don't see them on other days near our Hawaiian cruise date. But I booked the Sunday flight and it's back with a different flight #, but I did get that e-mail that they had changed the flight #. It appears our seats are still reserved on the new flight too.

Prices have already gone up $90 since I booked a month or so ago. I booked within a day or two of it being available.

It's still $425 here one way to Honolulu, but that is per person. I still have to get home from Vancouver. This is when living on the West Coast would be helpful.
