Wonder 1/14/2013 Bahamian - 5 WONDERful Nights

My son (age 9) and I are going to join you! I'm running in the WDW Marathon Weekend Goofy Challenge and think 5 nights on the Wonder will be the perfect way to recover. Poor husband and daughter (age 12) are returning home after the races due to work and school obligations, so I'm feeling pretty guilty. I'm guessing it's too late to join you for Fish Extenders, but if that's not set in stone yet, I'll PM Heather.

Any advice regarding mommy-and-me-friendly shore excursions for a 9yo boy who doesn't like to snorkel? I'm thinking the Nautilus submarine is a possibility but haven't done much research on it.

Welcome! We will be at marathon weekend as well! I am running the half and my two daughters (4&7) are doing the kids races.
Where are you staying while at Disney? We are staying at AOA. Looking forward to seeing the new resort.
I agree with you on the perfect way to recover from the race. Although you certainly deserve it more than me. Goofy! That is so awesome. Maybe that will be me one day....maybe! LoL

Have fun this weekend! The kids races are adorable, but mine will be in school that morning, so they'll miss out. We'll be at Coronado Springs, but we were at AoA this summer and loved it. Maybe we should wear our medals to the deck party on embarkation day and keep an eye out for each other?

In an ideal world that is a great idea..but with 2000+ people what are the chances? I will still wear mine if you're wearing yours.

LOL. We've done the kids races on Friday in the past since DH and I both run the half on Saturday. I will totally wear my medal to the party. We could set up a meeting place maybe 5 minutes before the Sail Away Party for any DISers who'd like to meet up. Any suggestions for a spot that's easy to find?

Hi we are cruising next week and I have just come across FE. Is there are FE group for this cruise and is it too late to join?

We will try to be as close to the main stage as possible..my kids love dancing with the characters. Keep an eye out for us! If you can see my profile picture, then you know what we look like.

There are no formal nights so they can dress in whatever they want..mine are just wearing shorts and t shirts...

Yes LIVIA317 I am still having problems...I can find every other cruise but ours...Disney WOnder January 14th sailing Eastern Carribbean...cozumel and caymans....uggghhhh
