My family was in the park this week for our first Christmas trip. Friday was our 3rd day in the park and I reminded everyone in our party to enter the giveaway as we entered the park gates. My husband and I split from the rest of the family to do the Holiday Time tour at 11 as my in-laws took the kids for the afternoon. Around 11:30 we were boarding the Jungle Cruise on our tour when we saw our in-laws and kids sitting at the end of the Jungle (where we were getting on) and my mother in law was on the phone. My Father in Law mentioned to us as we were waiting to get on with our tour group that she was on the phone with Disney and that she had won a prize. Apparently while they were on the Jungle Cruise she got a text and a voicemail from Disney giving her 1 hour to call them back. Before we boarded the Jungle Cruise, she excitedly ran over to us and told us that we had won a 7 hour VIP tour that would start at 12:30 and run until 7:30! We also won $240 worth of food certificates! Even our tour guides for the Holiday Tour were excited for us and happy to see someone get to win it.
We decided to finish out the Holiday Tour as the tour was kind of the same as a VIP experience. My in-laws took the kids and got started with their VIP guide. They did a few rides while we finished our tour and they got their own reserved seating right at the center of main street for the Christmas parade. After the parade was over we met up with the family and started the VIP experience. It was so much fun to let our guide lead the way and take us on the rides she thought we should do. The park was crazy busy so it was amazing having her to get us on rides. With just the call on her phone she was able to arrange last minute dinner reservations and a special meet and greet with Chewbacca. She also was able to get us in with a private meet and greet with Mickey Mouse which really felt special! The only ride she couldn't get us on was Peter Pan but we were able to do 23 rides with her in the time we had her. She had lots of fun tidbits about the park she shared with us and I think my favorite part is she rode most of the rides with our family and our 4 year old just loved her and wanted to ride all of them with her.
It was a perfectly special day and I just love that Disney does things like this to make their guests feel special! We felt so spoiled. My MIL asked our tour guide why Disney would do something like this for us, and our tour guide said that Disneyland would be nothing if not for their guests so it is their way of saying thank you! It was a day we will never forget!
