Woman plans meals for the entire year - must be a DISer, right?

Nah, DISers like to treat themselves. Can you imagine having a craving for a burger and looking on the menu and saying "oh good, they're scheduled for three weeks from Tuesday?"

Now that's impressive. I thought I was good with planning lunches out 2 weeks at a time. :sad2:

I don't know what I want an hour from now.. How could I possibly know what I might want to eat on May 27th? October 2nd? December 3rd? :confused3

There's "planning" - and then there's totally "off the wall" planning! An entire year???????

Obviously not someone that cooks seasonal produce depending on market availability.

Kind of scary:scared1:

I saw that on a news segment! I was impressed with her organization and planning skills, but it did seem kind of whackadoodle. We need a lot of flexibility. That plan wouldn't work for us.

That is a little overboard imo! You can plan for the distant future, and sometimes the dinner plan gets thrown out the window due to circumstances.

Ugh, what a PITA!

I plan my weekly menu based on the supermarket sales circular. To me, it's Home Economics 101--you do grocery shopping based on what is priced best. There is no way to know more than a week out what will give you the most value for your money.

What happens when the item she planned for November 16th gets discontinued in June?

Oh man. That is crazy!

I plan meals weekly... but more oftne than not we still don't stick to it exactly! I can't imagine an entire year!

what happens to birthday's??? I know in my family we don;t know what the exact date for someone's party will be til it is closer ...so how would she know if she needs to plan a meal that day??? UUMMM not for my family I can tell you..the best I can do is for the week...:lmao:

Funny how if someone plans meals a year in advance that NO ONE can 'get it' .. but planning anything Disney? A year in advance, heck yeah!! lol

(I don't plan a year out, my hubbs does all the cooking)

You really don't see a difference in planning EVERYTHING you will eat for the next 365 days in a row and planning in advance for a vacation? If you want the best price on airfare and hotels, you need to plan ahead. If you are craving a burger, you may have to wait a month until it shows up on the menu. Big difference.

I can't even imagine planning that far in advance. I guess I have a general plan for the weeks meals but they are subject to change at my whim. :lmao:

what I do is get meals for how many meals I need for the week ..it doesn't matter what day we eat them it is subject to what we feel like eating...

I was thinking the same thing. What about when a friend calls and asks you if you want to go to dinner, or you have unexpected guests, or even when you plan on having weekend guests. Does she tell them she's sorry, she's already got plans  There are too many things I don't plan for a year, planning a dinner for every night of that year would never work for me.

wow, someone has too much time on her hands :scared1:
I don't know what I'm going to have for dinner tomorrow, let alone in a year from now.

That sounds like a great idea!
So you can still plan, but still have some give, good idea!

One thing tho .. what about Disney eating in that time period?! lol

And here I am sitting and thinking what I have in the house my DS7 can snack on in 20 minutes!
