• most bumpers are designed for no damage below 5mph. Sounds like this was a hard hit.

1973 model cars had 5 mph front bumpers. 1974 to 1982 model cars had 5 mph front and rear bumpers. Beginning with the 1983 model year cars the standard was lowered to 2.5 miles per hour. So 5 mph bumpers are rare these days. The government found the cost of the stronger bumpers was more than it was saving the average car owner.

Will an insurance company pay out on a claim for an event that allegedly occurred more than 3 months ago in August? They would think this is some sort of scam and so should you. As others have said, ignore and don’t respond to any of her queries.
