DH and I have our last reservation to make narrowed down to these two. Any opinions??? We've eaten at the Cafe, but never the upstairs restaurant at Wolfgang Puck.

We did upstairs several trips ago--and doing it again next trip. House of Blues is probably more comparable to the Cafe than to upstairs. Upstairs is not as "formal" as some make you think--however, it is more upscale than the downstairs cafe, smaller menu, much more quiet. A nice view of the lake also.

We have never tried Wolfgang Puck, but I can say that House of Blues is a great place to eat. My whole family enjoyed it and we plan to return on this trip. They have great live entertainment and really good food (quite different from WP menu).

Thanks, sounds like either would be a good choice. They both have things on the menu that look good to us, but we WERE wondering if they had nightly entertainment at HOB too while you dine.

I would choose Wolfgang Puck's. We had a great meal there a year or so ago! We have also eaten at HOB, and while I thought that the atmosphere was fun, I thought that the food Upstairs was much better, and the service was superb!

The following was from my dining review in sept. I've never been to HOB.. and the "bf".. or "fiance" is now "ex".... maybe this will convince you.. I LOVED wolfgang puck upstairs:)

For dinner we went to Wolfgang Puck’s Café

The bread with the dipping out they bring out at first was so good. My bf almost filled up on it he couldn’t get enough!

Yummmmm!!

For our main course we chose to spend a bit (you could only go to a certain dollar amount here on the main course) and we had
Grilled Angus Filet Mignon - green peppercorn sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus $32.95

It was so so so good we both LOVED it and ate every bite!

For dessert I had the
Creme Brulee Sampler - vanilla bean, dark chocolate, butterscotch $7.50
There was also strawberry. The vanilla and chocolate were good. Butterscotch was ok.. they should not be allowed to make strawberry crème brulee LOL!

We tried House of Blues in Feb not knowing what to expect & WOW, great atmosphere & delicious food. We'll definitely go back there. :thumbsup2
