Hi! I have lurked for years and love the DIS boards! Been to WDW many times. I have a question that I can't seem to get answered. Can someone help?

Our last trip was Aug 06 (free dining). Going again this Sept. Last time we wanted to eat a counter service meal at Wolf Gang Express (West Side). We were told they didn't participate and that we had to go to the one in the Marketplace (which we did... had a terrible meal). I am sure I had verified they participated and checked out the menu prior to leaving.

I didn't think too much more about it until I started planning our Sept 07 trip. After looking/ comparing the menus, I definitely wanted to use that as one of our counter service meals. I see it is still listed on Disney's dining brochure. If you compare menus of the two "expresses" the one near the West Side is much better (my opinion). I am sure I am seeing it right on the Disney Dining Brochure. It is listed as a "quick" service (Wolf Gang Express at West Side).

Has anyone eaten here recently (counter service) and used the dining plan?

Thanks... Laura

one last year and LOVED it!!! OMG 2 CS fed all four of us and the Linguini Bolognese was to die for. We're going to the Cafe this year and both are indeed on DDP. The West Side restaurant is a TS though, not a CS, and is listed as such on my brochure. Marketplace is the Express, West Side is the Cafe.

Have to agree that we loved the Express in Marketplace too. We've made special stops here on the last 2 trips just to eat there! Loved the butternut squash soup and dh can't leave without his rosemary chicken. It's definitely counter service, even though they do bring your order out to your table outside.

We've also eaten at the Cafe on the Westside, but it was a table service meal. Also very good, extended family raved about everything!!

The westside has both a table service cafe as well as a quick service walkup inside just to the left of the cafe and has a few tables outside. We ate on the DDP for counter service on our last visit in Feb. 2007.

Thank you! This is where we went for the "express" last August and were told that they didn't participate. It was on the main floor, just to the left. You have to stand in line to order. There were just a few tables inside and some outside. The menu is a little more extensive than the one in the Marketplace. I don't understand what the deal is. Maybe it was someone new working the counter... but it seems unlikely.

I am currently looking at the Disney Dining Brochure 2007, and it does list both the Marketplace and West side "Express" locations (in addition to the Cafe where table service is).
