WoC question

For most of my upcoming trip, DCA closes at 8, and WoC shows at 8:30pm.

I have a couple of questions about this.... Does this make it more crowded, because the park itself is closed and whoever is left in the park heads over to view the show?

More importantly, is it completely DARK at this point, 8:30pm? I would think the show would be best seen in complete darkness? I am trying to figure out my schedule, because the only night it shows later during my trip, is the only night the fireworks will go off at DL.

PS same question, about the darkness needed to enjoy the Small World Memories thing, I see it often shows at 7:30pm, is it better to see it later in the evening?

When are you going? 8:30 is pretty dark right about now. Sunset is about 7pm at this point so give an hour for darkness.

WOC always shows in the dark - that is when Disney schedules it. And people do not "head over to view the show" as if it is a casual, last minute decision.
