WOC or DLP on the first night?

My family and I will be making our first DL trip June 27-30th. The time is fast approaching to make a WOC dinner reservation. We will be traveling to Anaheim from the Carlsbad area and plan on arriving sometime in the afternoon. At first I thought it would be a good idea to ease into the parks by making a dinner reservation and doing WOC the first night (Monday) and then get up bright and early for MM on Tuesday. I am now thinking I should just head right to DLP upon arrival and wait to do WOC until Tuesday night. I guess I am basically wondering if it would take away from the experience by going to DCA before DLP.

FWIW most people take DLP to mean Disneyland Paris. The theme park Disneyland is usually just DL around here.

If it were me I would do WOC first day since you are arriving mid-day and plan to do the dining package.

I think starting with Dinner and WoC is a fine idea. Of course since it's summer and the hours will be long, after the show you could try some rides over in DL or DCA.
