WoC for dummies/newbies thread?

Can someone point me toward a WoC for newbies thread that is kept up to date.. I didn't see a sticky and I didn't see anything in the DLR Info thread?

We frequent WDW, and have been to DL a couple of times. We will be there in a couple of weeks for D23's Disneyland 55 and I'd like to see WoC. I couldn't find a thread that explained it all.. I see stuff about FP's, picnics and dining packages. What are the options? What's our best bet? Where's the schedule? What should I be trying for in terms of seating?

If it helps, it's me, DH, and 16mo old DD.
