Just Made our first Ressies as DVC owners for WLV and a cruise on May 20th (4 day on the Wonder- paying cash for cruise)! This is our first try as DVC members, and it was a breeze making plans. But . . .the travel agent said that transfers to and from the cruise from WL are not available through Disney. When I made the Ressies I thought WL was one of the "cruise" hotels. Regardless, we still want to stay at the new resort (staying one night before, and two nights after - 15th Anniversary!)

Any good suggestions on transportation? - Private transportation or easy way to get to another resort for Disney bus? What a hassle! Any suggestions appreciated!

Rent a car from Avis if you have 4 people If you have two it really isnt worth it but gives you flexabilty when you want to leave. You leave the car right there and avis drives you to the boat Its about 5 minutes from the ship. We drove to the boat first to drop off luggage then drop the car off It really isnt bad and saves over $100 dollars The car is about 40 dollars each way and 5 dollars for gas I think there is a 50 cent toll
Good Luck and have fun

I went through a similar set of questions--VWL never was before a cruise hotel, but it is becoming one in the near future and BWV will cease to be one.

I'm stickng with Transfers for my Jan 2002 cruise--that's the easiest.

Anyone know what date it changes over officially?

On our first cruise we used Tiffany Towncar and were very pleased. On our second cruise, we intended to do a little sight seeing at Vero before returning to Orlando. We rented two one-way rentals from AVIS. Again we were very pleased.

I actually wrote a letter to member service about this. I was getting conflicting information about which DVC property is a DCL departure point. I believe it is switching in June, but MS should have the correct information now if you call them. :D

I think the Polyn or the Cont are bus stops for the cruise. You can take the boat from the VWL to the Cont, then take the monrail to the Polyn if you have too.
