Tomorrow I have organised a school ' jazzerthon ' where all the pupils will come in to the hall and have a dance session in aid of Children In Need. I am hoping to raise at least £400 to £500, but for that I have to dance with them all day from 9.15am to the last teacher and parent session finishing at 4.30pm!!!!! Now not only am I too old to be doing this, but I have a shocking cold as well and feel pretty awful. Will you all wish me luck please so that I can find the energy to keep going, and I will let you all know how it went when I have recovered. Carolyn :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Go for it Carolyn. Show them what you can do!!

I'm sure you will outdance everyone.

I admire you for what you are trying to do. I have just finished making cakes for what now seems to be a boring old cake sale and a raffle.

Hope you feel better tomorrow, and succeed in what you are trying to do.

Carol

I think it's a great thing you are doing and I wish you all the luck and all the energy you need to get through the day. Just think of all the exercise you will be getting.

Carolyn, yer can do it !!!

Get away with you, Carolyn, you're never to old to have fun:bounce: Sorry you're feeling a bit grim, though - hope you'll be better in time for the jazzerthon and we wish you ALL much success.

Let us know how it went, please:D

I'm sorry to hear you are feeling bad - I'd suggest having a nasal decongestant spray - one that lasts up to 10 hours - before you start to stop you getting dizzy, and having a water supply handy.

If you lived nearby I'd have loved to join you, it's a great idea!

You can do it :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: !!!!!!

Have a great time, which I'm sure you will, especially when you find out the total you have raised - and every penny will be well worth it. Good Luck !!!

Can't wait to hear how it went Carolyn! Did you manage to cope with your cold? I hope you raised loads of money for all your trouble!

We had a Children In Need Quiz night (which turned into quite a marathon  ) at the boys school on Friday evening, bolstered up with a bar, a mini auction and raffle - still waiting to hear the total but it was at £2,000 with more to be added on last I heard.

Goodness Shirley, £2000 that's amazing!!!!
Yes I did manage it, but I can tell you the last half hour was really hard. Not only was I very tired, but I was ready to murder the Las Ketchup Song which I had played about 98,000 times or it seemed that way!!!!! My throat was aching, and my legs were numb, but we raised about £450 so I was very pleased. Thanks to all for your support. Carolyn

Carolyn - well done! That's absolutely fantastic and you should be so proud of yourself :) Now you thoroughly deserve to pamper yourself over the next few days....... will you ever get that song out of your head?????? I could always sing It's A Small World for you :teeth:

Congratulations Carolyn - what a wonderful way to raise money for Children in Need. You deserve to feel very proud of your achievement.

:D :D :D

Great news too Shirley on the funds raised at your Quiz Night :D :D

:D Well done to the fundraisers:D

Carolyn - hope you've recovered now;)

By the way, I must be getting old, but WHAT the heck is the Ketchup Song??

OH Annie, Annie, Annie where have you been? Not heard of the ketchup song indeed!!!! You lucky thing.
It was in the charts, still is I think, and it is a sort of Spanishy pop gimmicky he ho he ho type song with much repetition which the kids just love, but after you have played it a million times it just drives most people over the age of 10 stark raving bonkers!!!!! Or it did me anyway. LOL Carolyn:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Well done Carolyn.

My V loves The Ketchup Song ......
................just about says it all doesn't it?
