Didn't someone around here say they had rebooked a WL courtyard view package that was LESS than their original rack rate WL standard view package with the Disney VISA code? I swear I read that somewhere on this board yesterday. If so, and you're reading this, I'd like to know the details of your Disney VISA deal.

I've had a 5-night standard view package booked for monthsnow. Yesterday I called to check on the upgrade since it was reported that a courtyard view with a VISA code is CHEAPER than a rack rate standard view package. My quote turned out to be more than my rack rate, 5-night, standard view package (same dates, same value season, same components, same everything), so I chose to keep what I had.

Today I call, and they had availabilty that allowed me to extend my stay at WL by one night if I upgrade to a courtyard view. Since I have been trying to add 2 nights to this reservation forever, but with no luck, I grabbed it. With the Disney VISA discount, this turns out to be only a few dollars more than I had planned to pay. I definitely want to extend my stay in order to keep from having to switch resorts. (Before today, I had a 5-night dining package at WL, and 2 nights room only AAA at CBR.)

Now, I have 6 nights in a WL courtyard view on the dining plan (3 adults) with 7-day hoppers for $2996.19 (and one night at the CBR). The exact same plan in a standard view room at rack rate would have cost $2948.41.

I didn't post yesterday, but this is what I got for WL:

7 nights (11/15 - 11/22, 2a/2c, 7 day hoppers + dining)

Visa package: WL ctyd (no bunks) $3440.
WDW website: $4214.

So I did get a substantial savings. Still trying to decide whether to switch to BC, though.

Wow! That IS substantial savings indeed!

BTW, my courtyard room has no bunks also. I'm trying to figure out if my deal is as good as yours....probably it is, but it is so hard to figure things the "DTC WAY." ;)

The package I now have would have cost $3320.19 before the VISA code. With the code it is $2996.19. For some reason that just does not sound as good as your deal.

Here are my details - maybe someone will help me. 11/25 - 12/1; WL courtyard (no bunks); 2 adults & one 11-year-old "adult"; 7-day park hoppers (no water parks, no other special features); with dining. Is my VISA deal as good as firsttimemom's?

OK .... here's my thought. Your stay is during Regular season and mine is Value season. If they lowered the WL courtyard room rates to one across-the-board flat rate no matter which season you are booked, then that would explain why your discount is more substancial than mine.

Am I on the right track?

I had:
Dec 10 to Dec 17---7 nights
WL Woods view with bunks
2 adults
2 15 years old
8 day MYM hoppers plus water
Dining
No ins.
Total with tax---$4370.78

Visa Code Now
All same details EXCEPT I have a courtyard view with 2 queens
Total with tax------$4080.22

I think all my days are in the value season

Great deal Mommaof3! I've figured out the components of our packages, and your value season stay works out to be a slightly better deal than my own. Congrats! :)

We already have three WL courtyard view rooms booked as a package with one-day park tickets and dining. Our dates are 11/29 - 12/1. Since a lot of people seem to be booking WL courtyard with the codes that are already out, I'm really hoping to get lucky with the general public code tomorrow! :cheer2:

Hi, I posted somewhere about this before...

WL courtyard view, for 4 nights, Oct 10-14, 3 "adults", 1 day tickets with dining, $1678. I saved about $450. It would have been approximately $2120for the same thing full price. It turns out to be about $250 per night including tax. The AP rate was $270 per night including tax, so I kept the package, I like the dining plan and I"ll use the one day ticket towards my AP renewal.

If I figured it out right (and I spent a while with the calculator this morning) it is about a 33% savings off the room portion, over $100 per night. While the AP rate was $80...dissapointing...I'll stick with the package and happily eat everything in sight with my dining plan!

Here is what I had:
Nov 16 to 23---7 nights
WL Woods view with bunks
2 adults
2 kids ages 3 and 7
7 day MYW hoppers with dining
No ins.
Total with tax---$4133.96

I was able to apply the visa code to 6 nights of my stay moving to a courtyard view with 2 queens for 3091.24 (savings of 1042). After I add in the room only rate for the 7th night (348.76) I am at a savings of 694.00. We lost dining for one day but I don't care. I saved enough to make up for it and more.

That is the exact same package, rooms dates, etc.. that I had. First time I called with Visa code, I was told there ws nothing available that week. I called back and was told there was nothing at WL, but I could have the same package at BC for $338 less. ($3796.31) When I priced this week at a standard BC, it came to over $4500. I figured I might never get a rate this good at BC, so I took it. But I would have been happy to get your deal!
