I know this have been asked a 100 times before, and shame on me for asking. But I tried to find it in the FAQ, but got scared when I saw the 10+ pages that thread has.

So can someone please just give me a quick break down of what I will see out of my Window if I get these rooms?

Standard:

Lodge:

Courtyard:

Deluxe:

Concierge:

Thanks!

P.S.: I guess I'm really leaning towards a Magic Kingdom View or a View of the Lake...would this be the same thing?

But from what I have read on these boards is that the MK view you are speaking of is not an actual MK view like you would have at the GF, Poly or CR, but a possible sighting of the fireworks at night or a bit of the CR . . .those rooms are in the North Wing of the WL and the room view is Woodsview. Woodsview rooms also can over look "Otter Pond"

The Lake View (meaning Bay Lake) would be a Courtyard View, but you'd have to request view of Lake (I think).

Again, I'm not too sure . . .going through the 10+ pages that they have running for WL FAQ is actually pretty good though . . .you'll find most of your answers there, and also get others opinions on the resort as well. We'll be staying there for the 1st time in November/Early December.

We were at WL last November. Booked Standard room and they upgraded us to Woods. We were on third floor over the otter pond on the MK side. Could see top of Contemp. and lots of trees! Very secluded feeling. I thought that made the room overly dark and just didn't feel like we were at Disneyworld once we were in room. Also got eaten up by noseeums that must breed in the pond. Wouldn't want that view/room again. But the common areas of WL are great!

We had a standard room on the 5th floor that overlooked a delivery area, but we were so high that you really had to look down to see any of the trucks. It was also high enough that we could see the fireworks , so it worked out for us.

I can tell you this: Both times we stayed at the WL I requested a courtyard view, as high as possible. Both times we were near the end of the building (towards the lake), and overlooking the pool. From our vantage point we could see some of the MK fireworks that made it higher than the roof of the opposite wing of the resort, which was a good percentage of them. We never encountered any problems with bugs.

We had a courtyard view room on the 5th floor directly over Artist Point. We could see the pool area, 1/2 of the Electrical Water Pageant (I think the other side of the hotel could see the whole thing).

We are staying again in Dec and opted for the courtyard view again -- why? Because with the EWP coming by at 9:30 the only chance we get to see it with DD (4) is from our balcony -- too late for her to be awake, let alone out of the room.
