WL to Fort Wilderness

I understand there is a path from WL to Fort Wilderness - can anyone tell me if this is an established path that would be suitable to walk/bike at night? Also wondering how long the walk is from WL to the campfire area? If we took boat from WL to FW, do we have to catch a bus to campfire area or could we walk from dock? Thanks, Jo

It is a nice paved path, but it is not lit at all. Not something you would walk at night. It is over a mile long.

To answer your other question, you could walk from the dock to the campfire but it would be a long walk! You're better off catching a bus to get there.
Try biking the path over from WL during the day. It was a nice ride when we did it and we saw a lot of wildlife (deer and armadillos).

We enjoy the campfire program. When we stayed at WL we took the boat to FW, and then took an internal bus. When we stayed at other resorts we drove to FW, then took the internal bus. Enjoy!

The walk from the boat dock about 1/2 mile, if that. We ride our bikes often on the path between WL & FW but there is no lighting along the path as said above.
