We are thinking of renting a car from National (desk at the Dolphin). But we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Do they provide a service to pick you up so you can get your rental? Or do we have to go there? If so does anyone know how to get there via buses etc.? And has anyone done this before? How has your experience been? Thanks ahead of time!:thumbsup2

Just take a bus to any of the parks (except Epcot) and then a bus (or boat from MGM) to the Dolphin. My first choice would be the bus to MGM and then walk or boat to the Dolphin.

Or you can grab a cab - IIRC @12.00 plus tip.

Alamo is at the Car Care Center & they will pick you up. Check their rates. Alot of times they are close. National is also at the Buena Palace the hotel is real close to the DTD bus stop, real quick walk.

You have a few choices here....1. take the boat from WL to MK and then hop on the Swan/Dolphin bus there. 2. head to Epcot that day, tour the park, then walk over to the Dolphin, about a 10 minute walk from the World Showcase. 3. head to MGM, take the boat to the S/D or walk via the pathway past BW to S/D.
It all depends on what you are planning on doing that day. We have rented from there before and it was a very good experience. We did all our paperwork at 3 pm, returned to Epcot for the remainder of the day/evening. After IllumiNations, we walked back to the Dolphin, gave valet services our car keys, they went out back, grabbed the car and drove it around to the front for us, and off we went back to POP. It's pretty stress-free.
