I am hoping (tough to type right now since my fingers are crossed) to plan a return trip to the WL the end of Aug. 2005.

I was wondering what some of the rates people got this past Aug. for their stay with any discount etc...

Any feedback would be great...thanks.

We booked the pay for 5 get 2 free deal (whatever that was called). We booked a standard room (upgraded to courtyard) and it included length of stay passes. August 11th - 18th. It was me, my 18 year old daughter and 16 year old son. Total price $2,052 Loved it, can't wait to go back.

Hi, we just got back. We stayed 8/31 to 9/7 and paid $132 for a woods view room and were upgraded to a courtyard view (without even asking). I used a code for anyone on Mousesavers site. We really loved WL and I think I would go back at the end of August again because we didn't wait in line for anything.

Wow...that's awesome! I would love to get the same deal next year.

We stayed at WL from 8/7 thru 8/11 (lost the 12th due to Hurricane Charlie coming). Our rate, using the AZR Room-only code, was $129 for Standard View ($138 including tax). We also got upgraded to a Courtyard View without asking.

$114/standard view/AP rate. We were also upgraded to a pool (inner courtyard?) view. I think the WL AP rates are one of the best deals at WDW even without the upgrade. Check your dates because Value Season started earlier at the Deluxes than at the Moderates. Jennifer

Looks like there were a lot of good rates out there for this past August. Hopefully next Aug. will be the same. :)

We checked in Aug.25 with a rate of $124 + tax, booked right on Disney's website late June (no code needed). We booked Standard, but they gave us a Woods view, no extra charge, without us asking for anything. I will be posting room view pics soon in WL faq thread.

WL definitely is great, very relaxing and great pool area, with the "stream" flowing into the pool. We had a great stay there, and plan on returning (although probably at a cooler temperature time of year).

We went to MK on early entrance day, but the only real lines we saw were a few slow loaders (the Speedway as always, etc.) and non-fastpass Snow White, so we skipped those. It was so hot, though, that some slow loaders in the direct sun often had no wait (Alladin's carpets, flying Dinos in AK). There was an hour or more wait for SplashMountain without FP, 10-15 minute wait with FP. We were continually astounded at the large numbers of people waiting in 30-75 minute lines rather than getting FP and nearly walking on later. Selfishly, we hope it stays that way ;) Splash Mountain 15 minute wait was the longest we waited for anything the whole trip, at any park, other than for non-FP shows like Playhouse Disney (25minutes) and Fantasmic (45minutes, which was a mistake-- with our Fantasmic Dinner package, we could have shown up MUCH later than they suggested).

Thanks BurkeTribe...sounds like you had a really nice trip.

The more I hear, the more I want to make this trip a reality. Looks like there were a lot of good deals in Aug.

As long as you can put up with the heat and don't mind taking a chance since it is hurricane season it may be the best time to go if you don't want to pull the kids out of school (NJ goes back to school after Labor Day).
