Ok- so I had orginally booked the CR for Jan 2008, then changed to WL. Now I'm thinking I made a mistake and should go back to the CR. I've never stayed at either of them- have a 4 yo and a 1 yo. What would you veterans recommend?
THanks!:confused3

Stick with WL. For some reason, CR just doesn't do it for me. I think your kids will enjoy WL more!

The only way I'd stay at CR with the little ones is if a) you've got a MK view; b) you plan on spending all of your time at MK; c) you're planning on doing the Character Breakfast. It's going to cold to swim in January unless you are very brave about swimming in the cold so the pools don't really come into play. The big drawback to WL with little ones is that you have to take busses everywhere. That never bothered me but it does bother alot of other people. The atmosphere at WL is definitely a little more "kid friendly" than at CR but the rooms at CR are definitely larger and easier if you plan on having a crib in the room with you.

Either way, you'll enjoy your stay so don't stress -- now if I could only take my own advice and quit stressing about my resort choice for this Christmas I'd be in good shape.

WL is spectacular. However, with very young kids like yours, the monorail is a huge benefit. WL has a boat to MK which is probably where you will spend most of your time, but the monorail is so convenient. I would say that for the best overall experience stick with WL.

We have stayed at both resorts. March 2007 we stayed at CR in a MK view room. View and monorail access was very nice but that was it. CR rooms were just renovated and we were not impressed, the sinks were horrible!

Overall, :cool1: WL is a better and nicer resort. Theming does not compare between the two. Your young ones are going to love the bridge and brook in the lobby. There are some wonderful animal shaped topiaries on property. The geyser shoots off every hour. Make sure you look for the bunnies running around the property also. WL is a family atmosphere setting. Our kids love it.
WL truly provides a magical WDW experience.

Everytime we stay somewhere else, our next trip ends up back at WL.

I've stayed at both, and imo, WL wins....to me, the only plus of CR is the monorail.

Thank you all so much! I am going to stick with the WL. Now if Jan. would just get here sooner!!!

I'll be there in Jan. as well! I just switched my resort from WL to Poly. We have a 1yr old traveling as well, and we decided that a monorail resort and bigger rooms would be better for us. We will spend 2 days at Epcot, 2 days at MK, dinner and breakfast at the Poly, dinner at CR, you see where I'm going? The monorail was a no brainer for us. Chose Poly over CR because like you, I loved the theme of WL, and I've read that the Poly and AKL are the only two that are on the same level; it's all a matter of preference.
