WL or CBR???

My wife and I are planning a trip for the middle of sept. and we are between CBR and WL. We have stayed at CBR and enjoyed it but are wanting to try something new and saw that we can get a room at WL for around 40 or 50 bucks more a night than we can at CBR plus it would be our first time staying at a deluxe resort. the down side i guess is that i saw that the resort is going through refurb (idk if that matters?). i guess my question is do i stay at CBR which we have been happy with in the past, or do i spend the extra money and stay somewhere "nicer" that is undergoing refurb.

Wilderness Lodge isn't a refurb. It is far more extensive than that. The reason it's so cheap is one of the pools is a dirt pit and one wing is presently (June 2016) gutted. They are also starting to build cabins on the lake shore.

The lobby and main pool are still nice, and there's a boat. But it depends on if you would be disappointed by clear cut trees and heavy equipment.
