WL - How to get to parks

Hi all,

I am a little confused about the traveling to the parks from WL. From what I understand there is a boat to MK?? Is this correct? If you take the boat to MK can you take the monorail to Epcot?

Is the bus from the hotel the only way to get to AK and MGM?

Just trying to figure this all out. We will have a 2yo and 5yo when we go in November and want convenient travel to the parks. Also want convenience getting back to the hotel for a nap if the kids get really cranky (or the parents for that matter! )

from what I understand

you can take a bus to any of the parks

you can take the boat to MK

but keep in mind when taking the monorail to epcot...you have to transfer monorails at the TTC if taking it from MK

You could also take the boat from WL to the Contemporary, and then hop on the Epcot Monorail from there.

I would recommend using the buses for everything except MK. They come every 10-15 minutes all day long, so you should never have to wait very long. For MK you definitely want to use the boat.

Relax! It's very easy!

There are 2 boat routes.
Green launch - larger, you can roll your stroller on, goes WL/FW/MK (any order). I believe it runs abt 1 hr before - 1 hr after MK closes.
Blue launch - small boat (fold stroller). 6:45am - 10pm, goes WL/CR/FW. There are generally 2 boats running, 1 clockwise & 1 counter clockwise. It's so easy to hop on this boat to go to Chef Mickeys or Trails End, or to take the monorail at CR.

There is a brand new bus directly to MK. This replaces the old TTC route.

There are buses to the other parks, water parks & DTD. In the am, WL is the 1st pickup, with a quick stop at GF. In the PM on your return, WL is generally the 1st drop off (on to FW). (Generally, but subject to change.)

We really enjoyed our WL stay, as did our then 4.5 yo dd. We especially enjoyed the ease of visiting other MK resorts.
