The area is a lot more roomy. Big changes to the menu. As for the time they are open 7am - 11pm. The dining area is being refurbished now but shouldnt take long. There are a few small tables in the hall, 2 seaters.

It does look a lot more impressive than before.

edited to add - Yes, they still have the Mickey bars. Yes, the refillable mugs, controversial as they may be, are still OK to use and new ones can be purchased.

MG...seriously, for the size of the resort...I think there are ENOUGH people trying to get in. Since I cannot get a room at BCV for Dec 7th...I am going to TRY to get a room at VWL...I am not holding my breath too much, though. It is a GREAT resort!!!

Time to go back. As you can see, we are easily pleased!

But, can you fill your mugs with soft serve? That's what I want to know!

I just noticed--they have only 1 kids meal? Chicken strips? A little more variety would be nice, especially if you're on the dining plan and have to order off the kids meal menu.

The mugs are still the same and the seating area is closed for refurbishment. They do have small tables in the hallway. The refurbishment shouldnt take very long in the dining area.

11PM, nice. All DVC Resorts should have something like this open for when the parks close and you get back, then room service after that.

RF opened just in time! We check in on Sunday!!

Two changes stand out about the renovation as soon as you enter. The whole room seems much more roomy with the clutter in the center of the room removed. The lighting in the room has also been greatly improved. You no longer feel like you are in a cave. I think they did a great job!

Thanks for posting the pictures, they look great and I got an answer to the question I came here with without even have to do a search! We are staying at VWL in a 2 bedroom for 1 night before our Disney Magic cruise in Oct. and I was wondering if there was an area like this where we would be able to get a quick cup of coffee and a little breakfast before heading to the port. This will be our first time staying at VWL and we are still pretty new to DVC so I am still learning. I am very excited to be staying here and it will be myself, DH, DD12 and our friends that we are cruising with. I have only taken a quick walk through the lobby at WL and past the pool in the past and what I saw was beautiful. Just under 7 months and we will be there!
