Please give me some much needed advice:D

DH and I are going to WDW for the weekend. This will be our first time "alone" in 2 years...since dd was born (and I know we will miss her terribly even though it is only for 1 night!).

Our choices are (FL resident or AP rates for September):

WL courtyard for $135 (tax included)

AKL standard for $122 (tax included)

I am thinking that WL would be a better choice, since we are only going for 1 night and the boat to MK will be more convienent...plus we can view the Electric Water Pagent which we have never seen.

Any opinions???

Thanks!!

Both are good choices and I think you would be happy with either. Our family has been to both on many occasions as they are our favorite resorts. If you are going to the MK then the WL is the best choice for that one night.

Enjoy

We stayed AKL for 2 nights in June, for a quick get away, no kids. We were Magically upgraded to Savanna view, it was a VERY nice treat!

Hi Currycook and Tinktwins! Thanks so much for your replies!!

I am really torn between the 2 choices. We plan on going to MK in the morning(parking at the resort 1st and going from there)....checking into the resort around 3pm and then heading over to Epcot for the evening. Just wondering if too many bus trips will interrupt the day if we decide on AKL.

Thanks again!

Just bumping my post up to see if anyone else has any suggestions :D

Thanks!

But I think the WL is much more intimate and relaxing. If I were going with just DH I would go there !

The boat ride to MK is a treat in itself, and how nice to sit on a couple lounge chairs on the beach and watch the water parade.

::yes::

I'd definately go with the WL. The boat ride to MK and more convenient rooms make the WL a much better resort for a short stay. You won't be in your room enough to enjoy the best feature of the AKL which is the views. Also, I don't think a standard view room is ever worth it at AKL. You give up a lot of standard deluxe amenities to be close to those animals, why do that if you don't get to see them from your balcony? I know there are public viewing areas, but if I want that, I can visit the AKL.
