To WL Vets, some advice is needed about courtyard bunk bed rooms, please.

We have reserved one for our upcoming April vacation (WAHOO!! ), and we'd like to hear your experience about your view and location. Please post your room number if you thought you had a great room (courtyard bb's only, please).

TIA! Can't wait to hear from you...

We paid for a courtyard bunkbed room and ended up with a room that was facing the Villa's pool. The concierge told us that this view was considered courtyard. We were a bit bummed. I think the even rooms face out, so make sure you make it clear at check in that you want a courtyard view of the WL POOL so they give you the view you paid for. :)

It's beautiful either way. The Wilderness is my favorite. You'll love it.

We had 1153 on the first floor courtyard view. We had a patio and could walk right out to the pool, but we could not see the Electric Light Parade at night from our room, we were too low. Higher floors have a better view.

Ditto here. We had 5156. See this link http://users.hartwick.edu/heydukr/wlrooms.htm. That's a useful bit of info to remember - "the even rooms face out". The map they hand you at checkin doesn't indicate precisely what your view is, so be sure to stand your ground there.

Thank you for that link, jlmarr. I knew it was out there somewhere, but I just couldn't find it. I'm afraid I would be very disappointed to face the Villas instead of the courtyard/Bay Lake, especially paying the extra for "courtyard view." Is there any way to know which rooms have bunk beds? Is there any rhyme or reason, or is it just random? And does anyone have a suggestion for how to word a request on my ressie to have the best chance of getting inner courtyard?

Thanks again for your input.

Okay I'm not all that bright (and your link won't work on this particular computer). I'm a little confused. I want a room with an even number or don't I? :confused3 Thanks.

Most of the even rooms that are considered "courtyard view" face the WL Villas, not the inner courtyard. Most of the odd-numbered rooms face the inner courtyard. The remainder of the even and odd numbered rooms face directly out onto Bay Lake.

If you want to face the inner courtyard (the main pool, the springs), you want an odd-numbered room. Some prefer facing the Villas because it's quieter.

HTH.
