Has anyone asked and paid for a concierge room at check-in? if so, how much did you pay?

I love concierge, but paying full price is a lot of money, especially since I don't mind making my own prioty seating arrangements.

During our last stay, a couple told us they just asked to me upgraded and agreed to pay extra. So now I wonder, how much extra????

Back in May I paid an extra $40 per night when I asked to be upgraded to Concierge. It was very well worth it. I couldn't believe they only said $40 extra per night. I went from a Woods View room $139 per night AP rate to Concierge $179 per night.
Good Luck!

Hi,
We asked for and paid for WL concierge on check-in as well in early February. I believe we paid $185 per night with the AP rate /upsell for one of the honeymoon suites (room 7095 - VERY private).

They are absolutely AWESOME on the concierge level at the WL. I am SO afraid that we are going to miss being spoiled on our next 2 trips.

My suggestion is - ask. you have absolutely nothing to lose. :D

One more thing - don't know when you are going but the concierge level is very popular. They can be SOLD OUT on the weekends.

Last August we were asked if we wanted to upgrade for $70 a night. I said no but if I changed my mind could I still do it later. CM said if they have anything open I could. My room was on the first floor. Sliding glass door facing toward the quiet pool. I didn't care for the first floor. Lobby is on the second floor. I felt like we were in the basement. Needless to say the next morning bright and early I went to Guest Services and asked to be upgraded. The room was $184 a night w/ concierge. $114 was the FL resident rate for the standard room. The room view was facing Bay Lake. Almost the exact view as that shown on Deb's site. View from 7th Floor. The girls loved it. All the goodies during the day. Go hoping that you will be able to upgrade but if not don't let that ruin your trip. WL is wonderful. Daughters fell in love with the watermice. It was the first trip that we hung out more at the resort than the parks. Only thing I find strange is the TVs are smaller than the Value resorts TVs. 19" Sonys compared to 27" not sure of the brand. Things that make you go hmmmm.

Have a great trip,
Shirley
