WL "Bears Face" rooms

I have been reading with great interest the WL room request threads as we will be making our second visit in December. Last time we stayed we had a Standard room above check in and it was just fine. With the AP rates we splurged fro the courtyard view this time around. I was planning on just leaving it to the room planners and taking what they give us but I never realized the "bears face" rooms were courtyard. I thought those rooms were deluxe, suites, concierge etc.. I was wondering if anyone knows if these are twin queens or queen/bunkbed rooms? Any recommendations on particular rooms experience etc. is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, I am curious about this too. And what does "Bear's Face" mean? Are they facing a bear or what??

Also, are the connecting rooms Q, Q and Q, BB??

I don't know the answer about the Bear's Face. However, we had connecting rooms in the North Wing, Wood's View and our bunkbed room connected to a queen/queen room.

Bears Face

If you are out at the lake or beach area and look back at the lodge it resembles a bear's face if you use your imagination.

We always try to stay in the "bears face" and out of our 15 stays at the WL have stayed in them about 8 times. They are only on the 4th and 5th floor and they look straight out to Bay Lake. There are only about 10 to 12 rooms total in the "bears face". The door opens up to the lobby. Some people say they are noisy because of the lobby, but the noise hasn't bothered us.

When approaching the lodge after dark on Bay Lake the lighting and architecture resembles a bears face. As said before you might have to use your imagination a little.

Room #'s in the"bears face" are 4071, 4073, 4075, 4077, 4079, 5071, 5073, 5075, 5077 and 5079. Some rooms facing Bay Lake, but not in the "bears face" are 5123, 5125, 5127, 5129, 5035, 5037,5039 and 5041. The rooms on the 4th floor would be the same except a 4 would be the first #. I copied these room numbers down on our last trip in Feb. and believe they are accurate. If you want certain beds you should phone the front desk of the WL and ask what beds are in these rooms.
