Greetings all.
What a weekend! Combine a 17yo stepson with a brand new license and a newly acquired Cherokee....ugh, our collective nerves.
I am anxiously awaiting my new Kayanos...in WIDE.

Today I did 45 min on the TM at 3.8 in my old NB cross trainers. Grrrr. Well, DH will enjoy $250.00 worth of my stupid mistakes.
I did wear the Saucony's on my LR Sat. They weren't too bad. I think my Garmin in whacky. It was all over the place on Saturday. I was doing a 17 min walk and a 10 min walk at the same pace. Make up your mind, Garmin! Anyway, my second mile split was 11:30. I was running for that mile (And a half actually) so maybe it's possible, but I am hard pressed to believe it.

I accidentally did 4.5 miles because I was so busy watching my pace that I forgot to look at distance and apparently I didn't hear the alarm either. I was only supposed to do 4. I have been adding an extra mile to my MfM LRs.
Speaking of alarms....honestly, one of these days I'm going to get put away.

I set my Pace Alarm, and it kept telling me to speed up. So while I'm trotting down a residential street on a Saturday morning, all the people working in their front yards raking leaves heard this crazy woman telling her wrist to "shut up", "stop nagging me", "OK OK"! Then finally..."Thats it! I'm turning you off!"

I finished watching Brokeback Mountain on the TM this morning. Nobody told me that movie should come with a medical warning...."Caution: Will cause severe pains in the heart, occasional crying and general malaise for some time after viewing." OMG what a movie.

Kevin - Going to a running store would work too but I got my best pick-me-up at the gynecologist last week! HA HA HA!

Holy cow you're fast!

I guess I'll have to wait until we get back from WDW to see pictures of you cause NO WAY will I see you on the course!
Kristi - Ahhhh, THAT'S your BF...I get it now.
Susie - Here's my two cents on rest days.....I know exactly how you feel about not wanting to rest, but my advice is...do it.

Resting IS part of the training. I know how worrisome doing nothing for a day is, but I got over that. You need to also. Your body need to rest and repair itself.
Sunny - COOL! I'd love to take that cog train up there! What an amazing difference in the weather! And you must be very proud to see your own work up there! Very nifty!

The work you do sounds very interesting.
