WWDave - Thanks for this - We must never replace our passion for seeing and doing under our own power. So many people live their lives and never really know their limits and never experience the awesome pleasure that comes from pushing through them. - You never really understand this until you actually experience it!!
Stacie - Congrats for getting out there and doing it!!!
Kristi - Sorry about the brochitis that is no fun - at least you are getting it taken care of before the half.
Shan - Good luck in the race tomorrow. I will be praying for no rain for just the race and then let it pour down since I know how hard it is living with drought!! Could you wear your long sleeve with a tank under??
Laurie - Yeah I know - like we could have expected for anything to go right with Jr this season. Where he had his first wreak (coming off pit road is where our seat are Turn 4 3 rows from the top - great to see the WHOLE track - same ones we have had since 2004 even though we have been going to the race for the last 6 - we love it!! I am attaching a picture of Dale Jr after driver intros - he had just got out of the truck that drives them around the track and the crowd cheered for him and he waved - see why I love my seats so much
AT least Kurt came in 2nd so my husband at least let me stay till the end - he was excited for me (that my guy was doing good) This was the first time we have stayed till the end - most times our guys are doing bad so we leave a little early to beat traffic!! Still beat others back to the resort from the race so I guess we didn't do too bad!! Then again I didn't need to see Jimmie get another championship!!
To everyone who has race/runs tomorrow - Good luck
To all WISHer's - Have a
Happy Thanksgiving eat lots of turkey and stuffing but not so much that you feel like

on Friday.
All WISHer's traveling - Be safe and have a happy and healthy holiday!!!
As for me I was able to get out and do 2 miles this AM - first time in a week and it wasn't pretty. I didn't run too much before I had to stop due to my breathing (can really tell the loss of conditioning in just a week layoff) I went to the Dr for my shoulder today and he says that unfortunately I was born with not enough space between my shoulder bone and the collar bone so when I reach across my body, jogging after alot of miles (in the TOT 13k it started bothering me right before mile 6 and had to keep it still at my side) or when I am laying on my right side on that shoulder it bothers me and up until the "pain in my necK" last week I didn't bother to go to a Dr. Well he shot me with Cortisone (had to actually stick the needle in 2 times since the first he said was "too tight"

So a few minutes after he injected it there was less pain in the shoulder so he gave me Celebrex samples and a prescription for Naproxen and I have a PT appointment for 8AM on Saturday am I

for scheduling it that early? I just figured get it done with early so I have the rest of the day. It feels sore where the needle went in (2 times!!) but hopefully the meds will kick in and it will feel better soon. Oh and I asked him about my recurring shin splints and he suggested running on a track - as aspalt is about as bad as concrete - judging by the look on his face when I said I tried not to run to much on concrete and mainly on asphalt. Not sure how often that will happen. He did mention the increase in milage could have done it - and I did increase the milage pretty quickly for TOT. But I am trying to keep it conditioned until I sign up for another race. I also need new shoes but don't have the extra $120 - hopefully next paycheck or the next.
Oh well better get off and get to sleep for the big day tomorrow - I ended up breaking my laptop this AM (LCD screen broke inside - have to be thankful for extended warranty plans and this happening a month before it expires.) So I am stuck on the desktop
Hopefully I will be able to check in tomorrow - won't be running outside tomorrow but might get a little in on the TM - does that mean I am addicted?
