Hello everyone!
For those new to us, we're a group of people who are planning to participate in walking/running events throughout the year. Some of us are training for the 2006 Disneyland Half and for the 2007 WDW Half/Full marathons. We'll also be posting news/training for various other events throughout the year. We range from non-running beginners to triathletes. Come join us, whether you're training for an event or walking/running for fitness!
Here's the Marathon FAQ, a great place to answer your marathon questions:

Good training everyone!
so sorry to hear of your loss.

I know this is silly...but it is my very first official 5K tomorrow and I am just beside myself! Never imagined that I would think that it would be a breeze..but I do now that I've done 7 miles!!
. I've just started to train in January/February of this year.....I love hearing everyone's experiences - it's extremely helpful to know what to expect.

and DD8
Can't wait to hear your report when you get back (and rest!)
Are you doing the full or the 1/2? I am doing the 1/2 this year and next time the full. Good luck w/your training! You'll find a lot of support and encouragement on the WISH boards, everyone here is simply amazing.
Anyone who does the Goofy, I take my hat off too! One of these years I will do it! Sounds like you are on pace with your training! Keep up the good work.

This group has been absolutely wonderful. I haven't run much since my first princess, DD8
- How did your personal trainer session go? I've been thinking of getting an appointment with one at my gym at work. I think it's time to start working on my core muscles, or maybe to get some core muscles.
but I am so glad for you and your family that your mother's passing was peaceful. Take good care of yourself and don't wear yourself out.
