Well, I just sat and typed in a long post, responding to everybody but my connection bonked and I lost it and don't have time to retype. Dang!
I did an easy XT day today; 40 minutes on the bike and lifting for my arms/core. Now all the kids are in the gym since they're out of school for the summer; makes it a bit more crowded.
Nepatsfan73 - our trick for drying soccer cleats more quickly is to stuff them with newspaper. May be worth a try on the running shoes as well.
Happy training, all!

Thanks for the great reception. We're probably going to come down to get a feel for the neighborhoods in July, but based on some homework, I'm thinking perhaps Fort Mill, Rock Hill, Tega Cay, or around Lake Wylie area. I understand the taxes are lower there, and it's convenient to Charlotte and Charlotte airport, but the bottom line is that as soon as I saw that South Carolina had a palm tree on their state flag, I knew that's where I wanted to live.
I'll be traveling a fair amount, but I will have a small office in SW Charlotte.
