Hi Everyone,
Sorry for being MIA for the past couple of days. June (especially the end) is always a very hard month for me to deal with. My dad passed away a couple of years ago, a week after Fathers Day weekend and well, I just tend to get a little depressed. I went through everything with my Dad (he was a drinker)
..well, I would go on but if anyone has dealt with that experience before and if you havent well
.I really dont want to unload everything on to you.
I wanted to try and catch up on everything so, If I miss anything Im sorry.
Thank you all for the great compliments on the baskets I poured myself into them a little bit to get my mind off of things.
Jodi-- your baskets are beautiful! No wonder people think they are pro. You could earn a second income!!!!!
Thanks Sunny! Thats a great compliment, I really wish I could do baskets for a second income
..it would really help out.
Hi Jodi Your baskets look great. Keep on chugging away on the treadmill. Do you run exclusively on the treadmill? I thought you had an outside route too.
Hi Dave, for right now I am doing things on the threadmill
..just being a little bit of a wimp with the heat and all I was going to try and venture out this past weekend but it pretty much rained all weekend.
I just got back from a very satisfying 3.75 mile run. Stretched really good afterward, and decided to ice the shins just to be safe (forgot to do that until I read Daves post thanks, Dave!) The first 3 miles were 11:41, 11:34, and 12:17, the last ¾ mile took 13:45! Needless to say, I died at the end of 3 miles. But it was still the best time Ive ever run, even in either of my whole 2 5Ks, so Im feeling improvement. DH is scouring the web trying to find another race for me to run, but Im not feeling a real need to race right now.
Congratulations Jackie
.good job! I totally understand about not really feeling the need to get back out there but that will change, its always great to get a way and out for a good run.
Well, this morning I got out of the house early and put in 6 miles, which is the farthest I have run in years. Turned out really good. I finished in 1hr 0min
Excellent Dana! BTW I really like the sports beans too! For some reason I cant do the gels like most people can.
Amy the Summer Solstice run sounds like a lot of fun Congratulations!
Jodi- great basket ! You could go into business for sure
Oh, Thank you so much!
Hi Sonya welcome to the team
may get to do the WDW marathon! My BIL wants to do it with DH and me.
Oh Christa you have to.
Hi Robb
I need to get back to the Community Center and start cross training and lifting weights again.
I need to get back to the gym also and do cross training day with weights too!
Sat, I walked 3 miles and then ran 1.5 with no sign of pain. Sun morning I woke up feeling better than I have in weeks so I went to the Y with DD and did the elliptical.
Yeah Sunnys back to exercising
Honeibee, you may want to be careful with WW and running. When you get up into the longer distances you requirements for cal's, carbs and potasium may lead you into some trouble.
Very true I think I have to switch things a bit, Im starting to loose too much weight now that I had achieved Lifetime
.I just need to get used to eating to support the running instead of counting points to loose weight.
Hi Keycee
Oh BTW I started a Pre-trip report for January, feel free to read it
Okay, last night I ran 3 miles on the threadmill 10.45 min/mile overall. I also worked out on the elliptical for 20 minutes and I think I found my next run
Its in August Its called the Ice Cream
Its only a 5k but I will be happy to do it. Ideally I wanted to look for another 10k but I only could find 5ks in my area.
Wow, its still blowing my mind with how soon the January trip is coming up. Although, still no
AAA rates out yet. But before that also fast approaching is the half marathon in October
