Hello everyone!

For those new to us, we are a group of people who are planning to participate in walking/running events throughout the year. For most of us, the ultimate goal is to train and compete in the annual WDW Half/Full marathons. We'll also be posting news and training for various other events throughout the year. We range from beginners to triathletes. Come join us, whether you're training for an event or walking/running for fitness!

New WISH Team members. If you read one thing over and over, believe this. Being part of this team is fantastic. Part of the ride you get for the event is what I call the roller coaster. There will be lots of ups and downs. The more you post here, the more you will find yourself enjoying the ride. It is an incredible journey. Don't be afraid, shy or whatever to come here and just post up anything. You don't have to know us right away, or all of us at all. You will get to know some of us. It makes the event you are enjoying have MORE meaning and we love to have you.

Welcome home Matt! Great to see you! What's next on your race schedule?

I did my first B2B this weekend. Nothing fancy, 1 mile on Fri, 5 on Sat. I'll just keep adding a mile on Fri until I get up to 3 then start going up again on Sat. I still don't have confirmation of the Goofy registration yet, so maybe none of this will be necessary :thumbsup2

20 miles finished this morning... and it was rough. I must be 3 weeks out from yet another marathon. ;) By the way, even after doing several, the 20 milers are still terrible. Don't let anyone tell you different. Maybe it's just me, but I've certainly never had an "enjoyable" one.

San Francisco in 3 weeks, then the DL half 6 weeks after that, then IM Wisconsin the week after that, with maybe some other tris spammed in between.

MATT!!!!! Yeah!!! Your home!!!:cool1:

Can't wait to see how the next IM goes and I will be there to cheer you on again!!!:woohoo:

I'm home after 15 days of taking care of my mother. Five days at Johns Hopkins-thank goodness for the hotel treadmill as I didn't feel safe outside for an early run, but the weather would have been perfect, then the remainder at her home, again thank goodness for her beautiful indoor pool as she lives in the mountains (too cold to swim outside and too hilly for me to run). I was able to exercise almost everyday. Actually I'm not running yet due to this pesky IT band, but hopefully soon.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week

Hello everyone,

How is it going? Not too bad here.

It was such a beautiful day today , that went for a nice 20 mile bike ride. I have been taking it lite for the past few weeks, but this week I will start getting more active.

January feels like a long way off, but just as it did last year, I expect it to quickly approach.

Hope everyone is doing great.

OMG:scared1: See my ticker!!!!! 6 months today I am leaving for marathon weekend:scared1:

Hey everyone!!!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

And THIS is EXACTLY why I got up at 4:30am this morning and got on that TM! :scared1: Enough fooling around! Times a'wastin'! :scared:

Hmm... I wonder what my ticker says...

I was dealing with shin splints last week so I am taking this week to work on the eliptical and bikes in addition to getting to my TKD class tomorrow.

I leave for my next WDW trip in just over one month!

Judy's here!

Now if I could just get up and join you on the TM... haven't managed that since the puppies came in December!

Matt
- Welcome back! Are you joining us in January?

Joan - How's your mom doing? Glad you were able to work out. Makes it seem a little less crazy.

I have managed a 10 mile LR on Saturday, a 4.5 mile combo walk/trail run with DH yesterday (he went out to take pix, so we hiked until he found something to photograph, then I'd run ahead and then back to him, then repeat the cycle!), and a 16 mile ride on the stationary bike today.

Jackie

Yikes, Matt I hope you are joining us in January, I don't think I would ever make it if I didn't see you standing over the overpass coming up to Epcot:hug:

Ran a hard 3.3 today after work. I feld like a snail pulling around sand bags. Gosh I was beat. Looking forward to DL in 61 days!!!! :thumbsup2

Went out and did a leisurely 6.5 tonight. Didn't push too hard, just wanted to get the miles in. Now I am making some dinner and going to bed.

Hey WISHers!! How's it going? How ya feeling? Haning in there in the warm summer months??

I got out and did 4.65 miles today. When I got up at 7am it was already 80, but needed to get out there as it is supposed to get to about 95 today with a feels like as VERY VERY HOT-STAY INSIDE!!!. I did a bit more miles than usually because I took off Sunday after my PR on Saturday. I have also been having a weird twinge/soreness in my right lower leg. This started happening as I started to jog more. I am thinking maybe that is the reason. I know I have pretty good shoes, as I always go to the runners store - they are runing shoes. It's like a calf thing but more toward the inside of the leg. Been trying to do more stretching. I have been holding off trying to do more running for now to give it a break. I have also been using my "stick" on it.

I know that most of you have heard me say repeatedly that I need a bike, so I went over to the local bike shop to talk to the owner whom my Brother knows. So he asked me what I was looking for and we talked for a bit. He is having some bikes come in that he recommended for me (and a plus they are on sale and he's giving me a deal) so I went ahead and put a down payment on it and just waiting to hear when it comes in. YEAH!! Now I can do some biking on the days I am not putting in miles or swimming.

It's not the GREATEST bike, but will work for me!!
I am excited!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Nice bike Tracy. I am BADLY in need of a new bike but first need funds for said bike. The good news is that my replacement insurance card has finally come in so I can get to Urban Active (our Gold's Gym) and use their pool. That, luckily, is much more affordable than the bike.

Hey Team!!!

Welcome Back MATT!!!!!

OK... now that you all are freaking out about being 6 months from marathon weekend. Now you have me freaking that I am having this baby in 6 months!! THANKS!! Wow, I can't believe it is so close already... marathon and baby. I better get cross training with all of you!
