Hey everyone!!! I'm a little late posting because our computer crashed the day we got back from Disney - UGH!!! DH worked his magic and got it fixed, though!

It is taking me forever to catch up!!! I did post a quick race report on the Full marathon thread. You all are awesome!!! I'm so glad I got to meet many of you!!!!

If I forgot to mention a wisher - I am soooo sorry!!! I really have forgotten alot of the details of the race in the last week - including the pain.

Hmmmm... what kind of torture should I aim for next???
Upcoming races for me: Minnie 15K - May 7, Danskin Tri at Disney - May 14, possibly a local tri in the middle of June, DL 5K (DH is doing the half) - September, and we have yet to decide who is doing what for next year's marathon, but we will definitely be there running something!
Training wise we haven't done much. DH got the stomach flu on Thursday, and I had it on Friday. I still haven't gotten all my strength back. I did have a swim lesson on Thursday that was great!!! I have another one this Thursday, but the temp is supposed to be 39 degrees in the morning!

They better have that pool heated nice and toasty!!!!

It is at the community rec pool, so it's up to the county if they spend the money to turn the heaters on... Depending on how DS and I are feeling tomorrow, I will try to get a long walk in the morning. Running is slated for Friday or Saturday morning. It's so great to hear from everyone again - it feels like the race was forever long ago!
Oh, and one cute story about the Family 5K I had to share... We wanted DS (age 2.5) to do his first 5K - we've been practicing forever for him to run across the finish line. So, race morning comes and we put his bib number on (much screaming), put him in the backpack which he apparently outgrew in the last couple of weeks (more screaming), waited for the start and the fireworks (a whole lot more screaming...), then the confetti guns went off with all the confetti flying everywhere - he LOVED trying to catch them!!! He did okay for about half the race, but we were seriously wondering why in the world we did this... Then he got tired of it all. So, a little bit from the finish line, we took him out of the backpack and said "Run to the finish" - you can probably guess what happened next... He threw himself on the ground and screamed. We tried to stand him up, pull him, drag him, nothing... So then we saw Pluto near the finish - we said "Run to Pluto". He took one look and ran as fast as his little legs could go, pumping his arms, and grinning from ear to ear. He hugged Pluto, lots of high fives, etc. Then - Pluto took his hand and ran him across the finish line with all the spectators cheering and clapping, and photographers taking pictures!!! It was sooo perfect!!!

(We found out the next day that he had the flu, and probably wasn't feeling well at the 5K, but I'm so glad he had such a great experience. He still tells everyone about running with Pluto!)
I'm sorry we missed you all at the breakfast - DS was still sick Monday morning, and we were trying to figure out how to get him home without causing him too much pain and stress. Fortunately he slept all the way home. Yea!!!
I'll check in with you all later - time to head to work.
