Wk of Jan 14--WISH Walking/Running Club

Oooo, Sunny is designing more WISH stuff. Have I told anyone here just HOW MUCH stuff I have bought on cafepress and the fact that I have every WISH item ever offered for sale here? Geez, I really am an addict.

Ah, Cam, you're the greatest:love:

Here's the reply I got on the tyvek WISH bibs:

Sundie,

200 of the bibs would be $1.04 each.
300 would be $0.84 each.

If you would like to proceed, email your art in an eps or jpg format to my attention and I will have a proof made for your approval.

Also, let me know where you need the bibs shipped.

Thank you.

He didn't mention a $45 setup fee. I was thinking we could also wear them on our thighs if necessary!

Any interest?

Afternoon all! I can't believe the morning is gone already. Got in 4 miles this am on the TM doing 0-4% incline--finished in 37:something. Felt some pain in my left arch--so we'll see. Tomorrow is supposed to be 5 miles, but might take it easy if the foot still hurts--need to be fresh for my 13 this weekend, and oh, can I just mention that after the rain last weekend it's may snow this saturday! At least I can say that I'm trained to run the marathon in any conditions!;)

Love the Flying Pig Medal--definitely gets a WOOO PIG SOOIEEE from this Hog fan. But ya'll will all have medal envy after I finish the LR Marathon--according to Runner's World they have the "World's Largest Finisher's Medal". It really looks like a mini-hubcap!:rotfl: They keep making it a tad bigger every year so that they can keep the "largest medal" designation. I suppose the bling has to be good to justify all the hills on the course!;)

I may have a closet full of lime green before the '08 marathon with all the WISH stuff being offered/designed. Who am I to turn anything down! Well, time to hit the shower and get the rugrats down for naptime--otherwise known as the "golden hour"!

Kristi – We would have loved for you guys to detour the 2 very short miles off I-95 to visit. Oh, and I practice corporate law on th e shareholder side. We file class and derivative actions against corporate officers and directors who breach their fiduciary duties to shareholders in connection with corporate mismanagement or in the context of corporate transactions where we believe the Board isn’t acting in the best interests of the shareholders.

On discontinued shoes – I found mine long after they were gone everywhere else at zappos.com You may want to check there. I was thrilled with their inventory and their price and free shipping both directions (if you have to return something)

Ok, lots of :confused3 about the lawyer thing! :rotfl: I bet my friend Kristi understands though!

And thanks for the zappos site - I will check that out tomorrow. I will be in Philly again this year, I assume - with all the wedding planning & shenanigans. So, we can have a mini-WISH meet another time! Kristi (the other one) is marrying another lawyer. The reception is somewhere called the william penn inn, near his house.

Eva - you are doing great! I started 'training to train' last January, and did the Minnie 15k in May. Last January, I couldn't do a 16 min. mile. You are doing awesome!

Krista - Chad doesn't remember much about his IT band thing except for doing tons of stretches, and using one of those stretchie bands too. I know he didn't run for months afterwards, but he was really injured. After that marathon he literally was lifting his legs with his hands in & out of cars that week at WDW. He also is never very good at following a doctor's, or physical therapist's in this case, orders. So, who knows what he should have been doing! Oh yeah - hope I didn't scare you guys too much yelling out your name in MK! :rotfl:

Hey, did I tell you guys I got to talk with John Bingham again at Marathon weekend? He was even kind enough to stop for a picture with me and my newest stuffed penguin (a Christmas gift from Howard):

Oh, this picture reminds me of something!

Guess what! I forgot to tell everyone that when I arrived in MCO on Friday, I took the Magical Express to POFQ checked in and then headed straight to EXPO. I got in line for my Goofy wristband when all of a sudden a lady walks right beside me and stand with her husband who was at the front of the line to my left.

It was CAM!! :yay: I couldn't believe it! I went over to introduce myself and she turned around with that beautiful smile that lights up the room and gave me a huge hug.

Ahhh, this was going to be a GREAT weekend!:goodvibes

Colleen

Cam that pic is the greatest! You've got so may wonderful memories of Race weekend!

Sunny, I'm interested too. Great Idea! Looks like another WISH stuff thread in the making!

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Cam - Awesome photo! And thank you for the zappos website. I was able to order DF's New Balance shoes that have now been discontinued that he loves :cool1: :cool1:

Colleen - are you going to come in feb and keep me company for a 50k????

Would that mean I would need to get back training??? (Confession time, shhh,I have done nothing since Goofy!)

I don't think I can swing that one. DH just agreed we could take a family trip down to WDW on March 1st. Found great $98 non-stop airfare CLT-MCO roundtrip, so he gave to OK.

Thinking about Marine Corps Marathon in October, how far are you from Washington, DC?

Just checking in. I see nothing has changed, it is still impossible to keep up with all of you! :rotfl:

I am really enjoying all the pictures from the weekend. I am sorry I missed it. This year will be a better year.

Tonight, my dd16 and I are going to yoga class and then I will walk the track while ds4 and ds2 play in the kidzone for babysitting.

don't beat yourself up about taking time off. It has not been that long since goofy!!!!! I usuallly become a slacker before the event and then it kick starts me into action (which i needed b/c i was doing nothing for about 2 weeks b/4 disney!)

I am a long ways from DC!

I wonder who spoke up to ask John Bingham for a photo? Who took the well framed shot and captured the moment for eternity? :rolleyes1

John remembered us (Cam) stalking him :lmao: and Coach Jenny to the exit last year and meeting us at the Expo in Disneyland. He is a nice guy, great to meet and listen to... he is one of us.

Colleen: I hope to do the Marine Corp Marathon in 2008 (after graduating from Grad School). If you run it, let me know how it goes. Perhaps you'll even run it when I do too. I enjoyed our 3 to 4 mile run a couple of Saturdays ago. You were great!

:grouphug:

Cam - What a sweet pic!!!!!

Sunny - I may be interested in those bibs. I am thinking that when I can't wear a WISH shirt, they may come in handy... right?

BTW -DH thinks I am freak for ordering so many WISH items. I have tons of WISH shirts (extras for the scream team), but still need a tank. Oh and I haven't even told him about the hats.... Maybe it's better that he doesn't know.

The reason I love this group so much is that I don't have any running partners or teams here at home. I rely on this group for support and help and you are all so awesome. IRL people just don't get that my team is online, but it gives me a laugh trying to explain it!!!

Oh and speaking of the Flying Pig Race... That is one that I have pegged for a future race. Maybe next year???? For this May, I am really thinking of jumping back into training and doing the Green Bay, WI 1/2 marathon. But that means I need to set time aside to "get r done" with training!

OK, tomorrow I fly home and get to be home for a WHOLE week before I take off again. Seriously I can't wait to be bored at home again... And I miss my kids, even their naughties!!!!

Where does everyone get all their wish gear...I know there is another thread for wish shirts here on the disboards, but I heard someone mention cafe press? is that right? what is that?

I can't wait to get some WISH team gear, you all look great in the photos from the marathon weekend wearing your shirts!!

I have some WISH stuff at my cafepress store (click on my siggie "unofficial WISH stuff". It's in the second column, third down (I believe). (Disclaimer: I make $1 on any WISH thing sold there). I don't know if there are any more of the officially order from the "shirt guy" kicking around. The cafepress stuff is all cotton :( I've requested they start a line of wicking fabrics but they've said no so far).

Howard! The unsung hero!!!!:thumbsup2 Awsome photo, what a great hubby you are!

I can't imagine how JB would remember Cam:rolleyes1 :cheer2: :thumbsup2

Cam - Awesome photo!

Krista - I love that shadowbox! I'm filing that idea away for later use. :)

Eva - Hey, it sounds like you and I are at about the same level. I'm planning to do Donald in 2008 and considering trying for Mickey in 2009. DH is trying to bribe me with a Disney Cruise if I agree to do the full...I don't think I'll let him know that I'm already seriously considering doing it! ;)
