Wow nights - that's tough. I could never do it. These 12 hour days are rough enough. I am worthless when i get home.
I am glad you are still lurking. I had been thinking about you.
Off to work....
Maggie
for the difficult times ahead. Hospice can be a real help though.
I may still complain about the weather but you better believe I will be training outside. I think it is partly the enviroment though because I don't mind doing Spinervals sessions on the bike. But I'm following the coached workout and often times Maureen does it with me. (We are hoping to ride outside this Sunday though. The cut off is that it has to be at least 35 degrees.) At the gym at school, they have the dreadmills against the front wall so all you can see for the duration of your workout is your head and shoulders in the mirror. You'd fall off the back of the dreadmill trying to see the TV.
But I did 1500 m on my own, then a 5K on the TM (31:10) and then 10.5 miles on a stationary bike. I think I'll sign up for a spinning class soon. This wasn't half bad! The run wasn't totally awful, either. I still didn't really enjoy it but I didn't hate it either.
MDM...More hugs to you!!! I can't begin to imagine what you're going through. I have to say I'm so impressed to hear that you got out there to run. I know it may be frustrating that your run felt so hard, but keep in mind that you are running with the weight of the world on your back. Please don't underestimate the physical challenges of stress. You should be so proud of yourself for putting on your sneakers and taking a few moments for yourself, even if it wasn't your best run. Again (((HUGS))) to you and know that you are in my thoughts daily! Take care!!!
That's in large part due to the support I've gotten from this group. Thanks WISHers!
Pixiedust to everything you have going on right now. I totally agree with everything that Amy said.
Did you have the shorts with the little fuzzy pad on the bottom?sap1227 said:Yesterdays run is done![]()
I was not able to maintain 3 to 2 the whole time, though. I will be trying the same ratio on my next run and hopefully I will get closer and closer to my goal.

Tomorrow I will do todays cross training (thank goodness Friday is a real rest day and I can get back on track).
Am I the only one with only boys around here??
Here is a picture of Braden (4) and Brennen (2) from January when we were in Gatlinburg with DH's family

Got a speeding ticket in Mundaline this morning- totally not fair. I was accelerating because there was a 55 MPH sign 100 feet in front of me- he cited me for doing 53 in a 40- jerk.
I almost decided to do the Shamrock shuffle: but the registration closed early. OH well.
and I am about to the point of doing 200 (tri distance) without stopping at all. The coach is great.
I'm not a seasoned runner, but I walked most of the 1/2. I did run some & plan on running more for Minnie, but mostly walking. Keep up the good work. You'll get there!
I am so excited, I took Hines out this morning before I left for work and I swear I could smell spring. I think it's just around the corner.
Okay, so it's 66 days until Minnie? That means that it's 67 days to the Pig.
Stephen and I are putting are marriage in jeopardy this weekend, we are going to attempt to run 5 miles together. I know, I know, what are we thinking? Well, Stephen is still nursing a knee injury from the marathon and plans on taking the Flying Pig 1/2 very, very slow. And since I run very, very slow--there you go.
I'll let you know on Sunday if we are still talking!!
). By the time I get home from church it's 9:15 and I'm starving, so by the time I eat dinner, it's close to 10:00 and I don't know about you, but I don't feel like running on the treadmill at 10:00. I was going to do pilates last night, but ended up just going to bed. I'm going to have to figure out a better plan!!
I have to get a picture of Hines on here, actually Stephen will have to show me how to post pictures. That would be very, very bad for you guys, because I have lots and lots of pictures!! Oh, and I can I tell you that I think it's funny that you talked Phil into running a marathon in a few weeks. Most people train for months to run a marathon and you guys are like, "Honey, what do you feel doing this weekend?" "Oh, I don't know.....I know, let's run a marathon!!!!"
) I won't mention indviduals, because I know I'd forget someone and feell really bad. They were all very cute!!!
) and watched a lighthearted movie. Glad to say I did not eat chinese with him.

), so I am determined to stick it out for another 49 days. At least that challenge is done before the Minnie, so I am definitely going to splurge when Rhonda and I are there that weekend.
I'm supposed to get 3.5 miles in, but I'm honestly completely burned out. Between work craziness and midterms, I'm feeling a bit
I should find the time to get it done--- maybe sometime this evening when the ice will have melted off the streets.
I think this is the danger of not having an event anytime soon... it's SO easy to blow stuff off.
