Oh, and from last week, I'm 27.

Happy Belated birthday Krista! :bday:

I was just thinking about you yesterday! Glad you stopped by to say hello!

The flying pig should be awesome!

Christa, you bought new tri clothes? :confused3 What is special about a tri clothing? Did I read correctly that you can swim in the same bottoms that you will bike and run in?

Colleen

Happy birthday Krista! I've been missing you too. I just got an issue of Her sports mag. and they rated the flying pig as a best race for some reason. I'll bet it will be FUN!! I'm glad your run was great!

Colleen - I use some shorts w. a really small fleece butt pad to do tri's and adv races. I actually used them yesterday to run to the bike shop and ride back. i ended up using a really comfortable swim suit top for the tir b/c all my running/riding tops chaffed me when i swam! Are you doing a tri???? You wild woman!!!!!! Oh, bummer, I can't give you a web address for my cheap tri shorts, I bought them locally! If you want some, you'll just have to come visit me!!!!

Dave - Ummm. we love pics, Our families give us up for training. We love to see them.
They are beautiful!!

Lynn & MickeySP where are you???????

Do you want to try to meet up for the Run to Remember? I finally went to the site and looked up the info. Packet pickup is 6-7:45AM race day, then there's the expo until the race starts. We could meet at the expo. Let me know!

Evening everyone: I'm taking a rest day today. My legs feel dead, and I feel dead. I'm seeing if I can figure out how to post pictures.

If this works, this is a picture of my princesses DD5 princess: and DD8 princess: and I on Father's Day of last year. Hmmmm, I can't seem to get it any smaller, but it's a start.

fathersday05.jpg
Love the pic of your princesses. Now I hope you don't mind if I post a picture of my greatest accomplishments: DD(8) & DD(4) I also have a DS (15) who wasn't with us for this one...

This is a picture from our WDW visit in 10/05. It is also the picture I carried with me for the marathon part of Goofy. It was all the inspiration I ever needed to finish the race.

Great speedwork this morning. I am really beginning to remember how it feels to be a runner again!!

Krista - Happy Birthday!!

Christa - your DD's are so beautiful!!

As for the age thing, I am barely 37. Counting the days to 40 when I am told life begins :confused3

I am trying to keep up here but you guys are so busy!! I apologize for anything I may have missed.

Good morning to all.

PrincessMomma, GatorPhipps, and Kevin: thanks for those answers. i figure if i figure most of it out now, then i wont look completely lost when i'm actually there. :thanks:

Melissa: :worship: You are amazing. i cant imagine running anywhere after doing anything at the dentist *shudders* and its much better to be in the eye of the tigger :tigger: --so much more bounce!

Dave: Your princesses are adorable. I still haven't figured out the picture thing so you've got me beat.

Today is a loverly rest day where I only have push ups and crunches (I swear there are abs somewhere down there :magnify: ). Have a tiggerific day!

Good morning everyone!

OK it is just WAYYYYYYY to bleeping cold up here. Enough already. :cold:

Today is a rest day and well, you know how I feel about those rest days. I actually was going to switch my week around because I have my first riding lesson in about a million years on Thursday night. Its a one hour lesson and I know I'm going to be hurting in all sorts of places on Friday morning. :crazy2: But perhaps a TM session on Friday am would help.

Dave - Your girls are absolute DOLLS! Oh my goodness, how precious! Thanks for the pic. :goodvibes And I think it's OK to feel dead today but I think the correct technical term is "RFT". :teeth:

Mel - Wow! All that in one day!?!?!? :worship: That deserves excessive use of !!!!!!!!! "Eye of the Tigger" :lmao:

Krista - Hey good to see you again! It's hard to keep up here, isn't it???

Sara - Your DDs are adorable! I can see why they inspire you. :goodvibes

Cam - Really. Who cares what they think? If you want to put a bathing suit on and swim, I for one say go for it. What's more important? Your health or their stoopid opinion? So there. :flower3:

I have to host a staff meeting for my PITA employees. I am annoyed with quite a few of them today so it probably won't be a good meeting. Ugh. Why can't I just get a job at the Tri Circle D Ranch????

ETA: Anybody want to see where we are staying in July??? http://www.tuscanynow.com/Rentals/Cards/PCCArd.aspx?ProductID=1685

Judy

Okay, so it took me 2 hours to get through all 10 pages, I am ready to talk!!

Colleen and Melissa--thanks for the birthday wishes. Am I the baby on the boards? :cutie:

Melissa-- :cool1: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :worship: on your "training run", you are awesome!! Hope you are feeling better after your dental ordeal, I HATE going to the dentist and have to psyche myself up for days before hand. The only good thing about getting my wisdom teeth out was that they gave me valium before the surgery. It was wonderful. :hippie:

Cam-- I hope you are feeling better, definitely talk to your doctor. Here's my whole disclaimer thing, I read somewhere (I read so much I forget where I get all my info from) that you should be able to talk or sing while you are exercising. If you cannot talk or sing then you are pushing yourself too hard and not getting enough oxygen. That's the rule of thumb I use when I run, I sing (quietly :scared: ) or mouth the words of the song and if I don't have enough breath, then I slow my pace down.

Christa--Your babies are so cute!! Since I don't have kids, I guess I can post pictures of my baby. Or as Stephen has been calling him lately, my 49 lb monster. :dog:

Okay, now I can't remember everything I read, I guess I'll have to start taking notes, or better yet, posting regularly so I don't get behind. :) I'll try harder, scouts honor. Happy training!!

Sara -- Your girls are gorgeous!

Okay, I really need to put up recent pix, but here is one from Thanksgiving at Hilton Head. The girl in the middle has been Jenn's best friend since before they were 2! I still can't believe they are graduating HS!

Hi all-

Krista-- What's your birthday?? I turned 27 last week as well!

Dave-- I think the Crim is out of the picture for this year. I hear it's a wonderful race, but the date is just terrible for me. I'm thinking about looking for a half marathon to run in July, but of course there are not that many summer running events.

Uh-oh, being pulled into a confrence call... gotta dash!

Kevin (Solotraveler) :earsboy:

Mel....thanks for the info on trail runs! :thumbsup2 I used to be a fairly serious hiker (BK....before kids). So I think that trail running sounds FUN. Plus because we live near three state parks there are loads of sponsored trail runs. Might be nice to do them between my road races :teeth: . I might have to look into trail sneakers. ALSO...we're going to Sedona in April and I'll need to get my runs in while we're away. LOTS of cool trail runs out there...I'll definitely need different shoes. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it! :smooth: AND can I say 50 MILES...OMG!!! :worship:

Cam...GREAT pics from HHI! I really love seeing everyone's pics. HHI just seems so wonderful. One of these days we have to get there! BTW...your kids are cuties!

Dave....love the new pic you posted of the princesses! How old are they? Mine are 6 and 8! princess: princess: By the way...I think you made the right move taking a rest day. I found it worked miracles for me last week :teeth: .

Judy...I agree. WAY too cold. We need a good acronym for that! Any ideas :teeth: . Good luck with that staff meeting :crazy2: .

Sara....Beautiful girls!! Thanks for sharing the pic! Sounds like your run went beautifully!

Did my XT today. Kickboxing!!! We did bag work for half the class and my arms are shaking so badly from all the punching that I can barely type :scared: . It was an AWESOME work out though. I was literally dripping with sweat (sorry to gross you guys out). Left a big puddle on the floor :rotfl: . We also did 80 pushups afterwards so that added to the jello arms! This is how I looked----> :scared:

Wow I'm loving the picture explosion!!!! :thumbsup2 I'm going to have to get my little cherubs up here, too.

I have an idea!

My family knows to run for the hills when I say that, but you guys are innocent guinea pigs who know no different!

I’m posting my idea as a stand-alone thread so I can gather your feedback easily and not clutter this overly chattery thread. Please visit my idea and please, please, please leave you feedback. I want all feedback: negative and positive.

Thanks

Amy -- They are sooo cute! OMG! I just realized that is the first picture I have ever seen of anyone I "know" at DL! Isn't that weird? We are going in September for the half, so to see those smiling faces in front of the castle is very inspiring!

BTW, if anyone wants to see our Hilton Head album on imagestation, send me your email in a PM and I will send you the link. :teeth:

I LOVE seeing all these pix!! Thanks to everyone who is sharing! :grouphug:

I tried to post a pic of my girls but it was HUGE! ]
Amy, your girls are just beautiful. I loved the pics.

Cam - your daughter is gorgeous and I can't believe she will be leaving the nest, so to speak, soon. Your son is way too cute and how cool that your DD's had the same best friend since she was 2. Time sure does fly...

Okay, I guess I had better do some "work" now since it's my review date :duck: I need a big old raise so I can blow it on WDW and running :rotfl2:

Yesterdays run is done :cheer2: :cheer2: I was not able to maintain 3 to 2 the whole time, though. I will be trying the same ratio on my next run and hopefully I will get closer and closer to my goal. pixiedust:

Tomorrow I will do todays cross training (thank goodness Friday is a real rest day and I can get back on track).

Am I the only one with only boys around here??

Here is a picture of Braden (4) and Brennen (2) from January when we were in Gatlinburg with DH's family

I am totally loving all the pics!!! I'm going to post another one of "the boy" eventhough I know I have saturated the thread with him. This is one where he picked out his own outift!! (EEEEKKKK)

Sara - Your girls look like you. Very beautiful!

Judy - WTG! You said it on the swimsuit issue!

Dave - I might be running the CRIM again this year. I'll keep you posted if we do. It was very fun.

Christy - I'm the momma of a wild man!

Cam - I love the pic. You have the most wonderful family photos. I think you might be a shutter bug.

Amy - Love the picture. They look so cute w/ pooh. I was a backpacker b/4 boy too. We have done one backpacking trip w/ him in CO since he has been born. It was really fun but undoubtedly a diffent pace than b/4 We are planning another one this spring. I got my best picture of the year from our trip last time. I posted it on the boards (of course i was wearing a hat), i used it as a christmas card, put it in albums and on ornaments!

Krista - you must post a pic of hines. We have not seen him since he was a pup

Christa - Keep 'um coming. Those pics are so cute

Who is asking about age???? OK... I'm 35 (36in june and I'm with sara about counting the days till 40, but it's not a happy count w/ me!)

OK - I totally whiped out today. I cannot eat as quickly b/c of the packing in my mouth and this am i was in a hurry. By the end of bible study, I was shakey. I was going to try to tag team watch kids/ road bike today, but I think my body is demanding calories and REST. Hopefully the boy will nap!

MelR - awesome pic of the boy. You can definitely pic up some personality in that one!! Sorry you're having dental issues

Christy - Your boys are just darling!! I do have a son but he is a teenager and therefore does not feel the need to indulge his mom with pictures.

Judy - I'm way up north from you in NY and this cold is just for the birds!! Have fun with your riding lesson tomorrow night.

Amy - WTG on the XT'ing. Kickboxing is a wonderful class. You should be ripped in no time. 80 pushups?!! :worship:

I had an awesome weight training session at the Y during lunch today. Tomorrow night I am taking my first yoga class and I can't wait. I've taken pilates in the past but never yoga.

Colleen
Colleen - Like Melissa said..the shorts have a little fuzzy padding and you can swim bike and run in them. I got a top too but will put a shirt on over it so I won't scare the locals. :rotfl2:

Krista - I have been told from tons of friends that the Flying Pig is so much fun. I want to do it someday. Ross, the guy who paced me at Charlotte said it was better than WDW....he has run both, but I refuse to believe him.

I found a 50k in November that is about 1 1/2 hour from Charlotte. Some of you NC wishers may want to do it. I think I will do it. Here is the link. Derby 50K
Biked7 something miles and swam 30 min...people were waiting so to be nice I got out and let them have a turn. So not Evil Queen...I am getting soft.

I love the pix of everyone's children! We all have such cute kids!

Christa - I'm such a junkie! I just checked the 50k link. I will have to compare that to the Adv race dates for nov. I think after the 50miler, I told phil we could try to take the baby plunge, but if we are just still having fun trying by november, i'm game for anything! I'm pretty much planning on disney marathon no matter what (assuming that we don't get pregnant first try, which would be HIGHLY unlikely!) Tell Bree if she gets pregnant b/4 disney, she can run it w/ me!
