Greetings TEAM:
Claire- Good to see you back. Don't be a stranger.
Mike/goofyguy1958- I'm sorry to hear that your wife is still out of work since the accident. Here's WISHing she recovers quickly. Good job on keeping up with your training.
Kristi- Whoo hooo!!!
Congrats on running 1/2 mile straight. That is fantastic. Interesting sign on the gym about the tread climbers. I think I saw an ad for those on TV the other night, and they looked like a good workout. 6 or more cans of Diet Coke in a day? Wow! No wonder you can make it in for those early mornings at work.
Laurie- Hey, you're up in our neck of the woods! Well, not really mine, I'm probably 5 hours from Lake Placid, but it's NY, right? Give a wave to Sara when you drive down through the Lake George area. How's the weather over there? We're getting rain here.
Krista- Drink water, water, water... just kidding, but I remember you saying you were getting dehydrated in your marathon training last year. Not to nag, but I think being properly hydrated is going to help your muscles (and IT band) too.
Lily- Nice running skirt. It looks good! But is the pink camo going to go with the WISH gear? Yeah, I guess it will. Thanks for the picture. Good job getting your workout in when everything was working against you at the gym. Don't push it too hard on the TM. Sounds like your knee's still resisting a little.
Jim- If you've been sore for a long time, then I think your muscles are asking for a break. If you're worried about losing cardiovascular fitness, you could try doing only x-training over the next 2 weeks to maintain your cardio. I think it's a good idea to give your legs a break. You've been doing a lot lately, and they would probably respond better when you gear up for the marathon training again. Just my opinion...
Angie- Congratulations on getting the job! That's awesome! Hope it doesn't cut down on your WISH time.
Craig- Hope you're starting to feel better. I was always getting sick from the students when I was teaching at Middlebury. Of course, I wasn't taking as good care of myself as I am now. Wash hands, wash hands, wash hands...
Stephanie- Good TM workout - pretty gross about the guy spraying sweat though. Whaaa??? run leading toes to heel? I've never heard that before either. So he was giving his daughter the advice to essentially run on her toes? That's crazy... maybe that works if you are sprinting the 100 meters, but I don't think that's going to work long term.
Jackie- Great TM workout! Congrats on running 10 min straight. That's fantastic. WTG
Cam- Oh no, not shin trouble!!! It is my bain and nemesis... the tae kwon do I've been doing with DD9 the past 2 weeks now kind of makes my shin sore. Good job getting your 4 miles in on the TM. Ice those shins or take ibuprofen. Oh, I hope the shins don't become a problem for you. They were so painful for me last year.
TXAng- Good job on making it to the gym and for a great workout. WTG.
Mike/Optimator- Thanks for the advice to be careful shoveling the roof. Believe me, I hear ya'. Wow, 12 miles on a TM. I don't think I can do that. I think 5-6 miles is about my limit of tolerance on the TM. Good for you! So what part of the country are you in Mike?
OK that's it for me now. I guess I need to get ready for work if DW is staying home with the princesses
today. Have a great day all.
