Carrie and Vic...thanks for offering to help. The weekend in question is Feb 22-24.

Can someone remind me next year at the Pop meet...in addition to the big WISH team photo, we should do photos of each of our sub-teams.

I have a serious case of LTO this week so I'll check back in with y'all later.

Got out of work late tonight so I only had time for 40 minutes on the treadmill. 3 miles in 40:45 which gives me a new PR pace of 13:35 (my last PR pace for 2 miles or more was 13:48 last Saturday). I was exhausted and drenched and starving, so I wonder how long I could have sustained that if I'd been properly fueled, properly hydrated and dressed in wicking clothes. LOL! I really wish I could do this on the roads, but can't trust the terrain. Now, I have to work up the courage to do some hills.

Sorry this all about me. Swamped at work and DD19 is here from campus for a little while. off to gather hugs!

Good evening everyone!

Talked to Lily earlier today and she hopes to go home tomorrow. I am so very happy she is doing well. I'm jumping for joy! :yay:

So, Big Vic will be in charge next week? Oh, the possibilities boggle the mind!

Um, plumber's crack? Sweat? Oh what has happened to our lovely, quiet, calm, unassuming little thread here?

I'm so trying to get back into the swing of workouts. Since the marathon I've been rather unmotivated. I'm able to workout on the weekends but it's rather hard during the week. I'm being lazy but there you go.

Hope everyone is doing well. Have a nice evening!

Well happy Valentine's Day everyone. Sorry this can't be longer and not all about me but I wanted to report in that because of the team challenges I forced myself to go out this afternoon after work. And let me tell you it was BEAUTIFUL - I want to thank those who blew/wished their cold down here because today was nice - it was about 70F (woke up this AM around 62F - but it won't last for long - back up to 80F tomorrow) As much as I like to complain about the weather I am so thankful that I have a beautiful route to run - I got up to the beach and it was gorgous. To bad I didn't have a camera - the sun was setting in the west and to the east there were a bunch of small clouds - the clouds were pink and blue - then the clouds were pink and white and below the clouds but above the ocean was a baby blue color (I have a fascination with clouds and the sky) It was like watching something on my HDTV.

Ok so enough about the clouds and the sky blah blah I am proud to say I was able to get 3.5 miles more in for my team this week (although the rest of the week was really suffering!!) Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Friday.

OK, I've given up on catching up on this thread, but wanted to post anyway! I have a busy couple of weeks coming up so I may be posting only sporadically for a bit, but you should know that I am checking in here at least once a day for my dose of motivation!

I went on the TR for the very first time today - it was just too cold again for me to face the outdoors, and anyway I had just joined the gym and wanted to make use of the membership.

I have always had a bit of fear about the treadmill. I think it is the image of George Jetson falling off into space while trying to walk his dog that has haunted me my whole life. I really thought I would just get pulled off the back of it! But once I got the hang of it it really wasn't too bad. If only my gym had better TV playing!

I did have a bit of an incident at the beginning when I dropped my I-pod and it went flying off the treadmill, and I tried to jump off while it was still moving  . But only one person saw me, and I figured out quickly that that was a really bad idea!

Anyway, I'm just checking in to let you know I'm still out there, still moving, and still loving being part of this team!

WTG Kira - I hear you on the Treadmill fear!! Added to that is my vertigo - its hard -

I vote for jumping in and posting!! I admire those that take the time and comment on everyone!! I'm a jumper! and a reader... and a lurker at times!!

That's what I love about the WISH team - there's room for everyone!! :goodvibes

I went out for a 6 miler after work. Nice sunny weather, so I ran along the beach in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village hotel. I got a good workout running through the sand.

Expo tomorrow, yeah.

Have a good Aloha Friday everyone, and good workouts to all.

At least you didn't do what I did when I dropped my iPod on the treadmill. I was all ready on the cool down so I tried to reach down and pick it up while the treadmill was still running. I fell and rode that thing off the end. Thankfully the treadmill is in my home and no one else was there to see me. It did mess up my back and required a trip to the chiropractor though!

Cam - Holy cow! OCngrats ont eh PR!

Sandy - I've been told we glisten. LIke that one better. You know, like when al lthat glistening rolls off me. :rotfl:

mel - Looks liek it'l have to be Vic. Just had to double check, because so many are taking this wekend off. Sorry about LTO!

DKP - Still need tomove the book downstairs so that I can do teh exercises. :headache: lol, shoe envy.

TnT - COngrats on teh great run!

Kira - The trick is not to think you can get back on before anyone notices. That is bad.:rolleyes1

Saturday, I dropped my sponge about half way through my 6-mailer. I knew Iwould not start again if I got off, so I left it adn told Scott not to better. SOme angel finished her work out a few minutes later and got it for me. WISH I knew who she was. That was so nice!

Did 40 min last night and have a 5K tomorrow. That means our scheduled 7-miler is now Monday :sad2: , but it wil be good to get outside. Sad when that 24 degrees sounds balmy to me.

Hi Everyone -

I am having major issues with LTO. However, I am promising myself that I will get back to serious training next week. (don't remind me that I said that last week.)

I think I have decided on my new computer configuration. It seems like every time I buy a new one I have to learn a whole new language.

NEPatsbill seems to be awfully quiet these days. I hope that is because he is busy exercising....

Shan - I tend not to like compression shorts because they get too hot in late spring and summer. Go with the lightest weight fabric you can find. Nike has some new ones with a narrower leg cut that make my legs look skinny - I think I am going to get those.

Good morning, team! Happy belated Valentine's Day. I hope it was wonderful for everyone. Mine wasn't so great, I was rear-ended on my way home from work. Actually a van rear-ended a car which rear-ended me, I don't have any damage to my car at all, not even scratch. I'm okay, my back is sore, but that's all, I am going to the doctor in about an hour just to make sure that the baby is okay, but I had my coat on, a hat in my pocket which lays across my stomach when I sit, and the coat is longer, so that was bunched up around my stomach too--all that padding between the seat belt and my stomach, so I think the baby is fine. My doctor wants to see me just to double check and ease my mind too. So exciting, huh? :) Of course I didn't get to walk last night or probably tonight either, so forgive me Bunnies, as my total this week is extremely low.

Glad to hear that Lily is doing so great and should be home from the hospital soon.

WW Dave--I agree with Debra that has got to be the best chocolate you've ever gotten in your life! I'd love to have another lab, I think Hines could use a brother.

Kira--Ask Carrie about her TM experiences. :rolleyes1

Carrie--LYMI!!!!

I better get off here and some work done before I leave for the doctor. I'll post when I get back.

Morning WISH Team! I have been lazy the past 2 days and have no w/o to report. I hope everyone has a great weekend. :)

Krista - :scared1: I'm sure all will be well, but that is so scary! Please let us know how the doc visist goes.

Krista -- sending you a huge  sweetie. I know everything will be fine but know that you are in our hearts and prayers.

Mary & Kira -- take it easy on the dreadmill!

Not sure what this weekend holds, workout wise because of some unexpected work stuff that will have me here much of the weekend. Hoping to get Howard to go to the gym with me in the early a.m. tomorrow before I come in to the office. It's only the first week of classes but I think he can already use the break and I'd love to get him in the routine of weekend workouts. :cool1: :lovestruc

I realized this morning that I leave for the Minnie 11 weeks from today. :woohoo: I'd better get my butt in gear training to maintain race pace for 9.3 miles! :scared1:

Krista--Hope all goes well at the Doctor!!! :wizard:

Same here.

This thread is so hard to keep up with but I must admit when I read Jeff's description of his run I was jealous LOL!

I hit the gym last night for two miles on the treadmill and then my weight circuit.

We then spent Valentines putting the closet organizer in the hall closet. It was a challange. The unit I bought at target FITS, but only if you assemble it IN the closet! At one point, Randy was holding the unit up over my head while I tightened the bolts. I must really trust him!
