Racey Tracy: I'm old enough that the phrase "Bite me" has entirely different connotations. Maybe that's why I'm unable to get into the Twilight series. It sounds like your taper strategy is pretty ambitious--you're working in reverse if you move from 6 to 8! It'll be cool to see your racewalking in action in under two weeks!
Jackie: Oooh, you're at the same water stop. Very cool! I really like the names you have for your pups--and that they're not all matchy, matchy. I know what you mean about not immediately bonding with pets. We have two cats, and it took me a while to love the one. (She's too much like me...stubborn and spoiled.) But I can't imagine live without her.
Allyson: Ah, the C25K days. Isn't that wild--you've progressed so much (and I've backslid). Doesn't that just give you the confidence boost you deserve?

I, too, am a big fan of the candy, er, sports beans.
Ms. Duckie: I just watched your video of the 10 miler. Love the music, love the fact I felt I was right there with you and the 10 miles flew by!

The Noah has the right idea about eating; you have the right idea about stretching, and look great in your WISH gear!
Joan: Enjoy your CO vacation, with or without the TM!
Chris: I love Entourage! After all, I'm a Turtle.
Ang: I like to think we're not clumsy, just directionally challenged. And I don't have this strange preference for staying upright and vertical. It ignores too many other interesting directions.
Shan: Good luck breaking the shoes in. Did the massage include your sore feet?
Maura: Coffee in a thermos for Cecilia? Now THAT's service! Take care of your back and knee, and good luck on your 5 miler.
Tricia: Ah, Simba's settling in and feeling fiesty. You've got the right system with the bathroom. DOOD and I lock ourselves in and give the cats the run of the place. Yeah, we're the alphas.
Cam: Good luck with the rest of your VR planning--how fun!

It sounds like the Kindle is good for your training. What do you like about it, if I may ask? (Always susceptible to the lure of new shiny toys...).
Steve: You're already an elite in my book! And fatherhood suits you...look at you, being the cool dad and offering your wisdom on the upcoming races. Carter's a lucky boy!
Hi to Cecilia, Laurie, Tricia, Mel, Jeff, Terri, Kristi, Krista, John, and anyone I may have missed!
As for me: Rest day today. Did a bit of running around (not literally) for the trip. And there's more last-minute stuff to do. My BIL is surprising my ILs by flying down to the marathon for the weekend. Not to watch us, but because his flights for Christmas were delayed and he's doing a belated holiday with the parents. It's a surprise, too, so shhhhh. They'll be so excited to see him they won't miss me at all--so I'm free and clear for as many WISH events as I can squeeze in.
