DAve - Good fr you fro making the right choice. Stay strong. We miss you, though!

Believe me - we've put off sleepovers as long as we possibly could. DD9 princess: has been BEGGING for a sleepover for I don't know how long. I'm actually going to be out of town for her real birthday, and the only way to appease her for that one was to have the sleepover. DW would not possibly let me be out of town for it (and I don't blame her). We're both going to need to be there to contain them.

Good luck with the marathon Jen. I'll be remembering you and your family at the WL pool where we met last year.

Just heard from DD15 who is visiting her dad over near where Bill and Lynnda live. They've had snow flurries! We're a little further south so nothing here, not even frost 'cause it was so windy last night.

There were reports of snow flurries here but we didn't see any. I was all ready to shovel the driveway and sidewalks but I guess it wasn't meant to be. :lmao: For some reason Home Depot and Lowes didn't have snow shovels out. I guess they didn't think it was as critical as hurricane supplies which are starting to be put out. :confused3 I guess I will have to wait a little longer to see what snow does around here.

Mel - You can't back out now. Doubt is part of taper. Besides there are enough Wishers who will tie you up and drag you to the start. Did I miss why DD wasn't doing the half?

SWDave - Good to see you back. Sorry you won't be able to make it but I definately understand. Although a party with that many girls might cause me to find a reason to get out of the house. :lmao:

Judy - So Craig found a new toy for you...Maybe you need to use it a little during taper along with your foam roller to get you through this difficult period.:rolleyes1

Lara and Cari - Welcome, we hope that you stick around and join in all the fun.

Panda - Where are you??? Hopefully the taper hasn't had a reverse effect and made you calm instead.

Amy - Just race all the Resolutionists to the TM's. That should give them enough of a workout that they will want to stay off.

Time to see what the little one is squaking about.

OK I am getting very excited about next weekend, but as I am printing race registrations (5k, kid's races, 1/2 mar) and final instructions and hotel confirmations.... -- yes i'm a bit rediculous I am starting to get sad,

I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE RUNNING THE FUL!!!

OK that's it pity party is over !!

DAVE --- I'm so sorry you can't come. But trying to arrange last minute is SO something I would do :)

Jen -- Can I ask what you do to travel so much, it makes me tired just reading it.

Off to the gym in 45 minutes -- YEAH , I love being able to say that again. Going to attemp 4 on the treadmill because it is WAYYYY too cold  to run outside here - high 55 low 30 That's probably funny to all my northern friends huh?

So scream teaming will be fun next weekend. It was kind of cool to be on the spectator side at RFTT this year. But at MINNIE - I WILL be out there.

Dave--I was going to be bad and run under someone else's bib. As far as I know, she still can't run it, should I bring her packet with me just in case? :confused3 ;)

As long as we are losing 10lbs and doing speed work with a week to go, do you think it's too late to start working on my tan????? I hate my white, Northern legs. :headache:

Angie-- I know how you feel! But just think, this is a stress free trip for us! :)

Well, count me in as another who is undecided about race day attire. Yes, yes, my WISH shirt will be in the mix somehow--good thing I don't leave until next week when I'll feel a little bit more confident in the weather reports. We made a Gu stop today and got all our supplies for the marathon. The girl at the register asked me if I had ever tasted them before b/c she thought they were gross. In my mind I remembered the flavored snot comment from a couple weeks back--yes, they are gross, but come mile 15 it'll be like nectar from the gods. Then we headed to Target to buy snackies to take for the kids and of course coffee for myself (Nescafe = BLECH!!!) We won't have a car, so we'll need to bring supplies with us.

MSDave--so good to see you 'round these parts again. Got myself a red cap for xmas too, came with matching gloves! Hmmmm, so you're choosing 9 year old girl torture over 26.2 miles of torture......hey, look at it this way, at least you'll have no problems walking up and down stairs the next morning:laughing: Sorry you won't be joining us in person, but you'll be there in spirit.

Amybeth--Ah, yes, the resolutionists. Gotta love how my nice quiet gym turned into a mad house over the past couple weeks. The weekend manager almost kicked me off a TM this weekend cuz I had been on there so long--dude, doesn't he know I"m training for something impt. here!

Steve--yes, can we leave NOW! Unfortunately, I gotta pay for this trip somehow, and shirking my responsiblities at Walgreen's this weekend wouldn't fly. Oh well, at least I can say that one week from now I'll be walking around the Expo!!! Then to DTD for dining and shopping!

Okay, naptime is almost over. Have a great evening all!

 Whaaaaa, I WISH I were going... Steve- so, uuuum, what's Krista doing with her bib? ;)

Her bib was from a friend who couldn't run and the race number has a female name on it, but if you're looking for a half or full bib, I think I know where you can get one. PM me if you're really interested.

C'mon, you know you want to go (picture a little devil on your shoulder whispering thoughts into your head). :thumbsup2

Steve

[:)

Well even though I live in Florida I work too much to work on that tan thing and I hate the white thing too, so I just added tanning to my gym mmbership :)

So next weekend just remember, it's fake!!

I'llnever be tan, but I started tannign a couple weeks ago. It'll keep me from being fried durign the race. DOn't know if it's bad fo pg people to tan. If it's not, a couple very short sessions may keep you from becomming a lobster. Supposed ot be 70s adn SUnny Saturday....

She said it looked like rain but it floated. Nothing accumulated. Now she's seen snow more times than I have :thumbsup2
She's not doing the half partly due to her knees and mostly due to marching band. Just didnt' have time to train.

Ummm...SWDave?!?!?! I most definitely have an extra half bib, if you don't mind being a 15 yo girl for a day. What's 13.1 after that 7.5 you just did? :rolleyes1

Are you going to be there during the day? We will be there Thursday too but not till toward eve. Then to Whispering Canyon for a very entertaining dinner. We love that place.

Angie--Our flight gets in around noon, so we're hoping to be at BWV by 1:30 or so (all depends on ME). Then we're going to try to get to the Expo right as it opens. By that time of the day, our 2 angelic children will no longer be angels and we would like to wait as short amount of time in line as possible. Then after that we're just winging it--family doesn't arrive until Friday. WCC is one of our favs as well. DH got totally embarressed the first time we ate there; one of my fav Disney memories!

Yeah, I can't go tanning anymore. I knew I shouldn't have bought those extra minutes in October earmarked for January! :headache: I do have the Jergens Natural Glow lotion, it works--if you can get past the smell!

Aaah I've missed you guys... thanks so much for all the generous offers of bibs. I sure WISH I could take you up on them, but I can't. It makes me think though that I shouldn't stay away from here so long. OK, I need to make a resolution to keep in better touch with my WISH friends. You guys are the best.

Jen - I'm trying to decide on clothes for the race, too. I'll be wearing my WISH shirts for the races and probably some UnderArmour if it's cold. Not sure if going with shorts or pants, yet. Will pack both and see how cold it is on race morning.

Steve - I've love to be able to blow off work now and head down to WDW to play a little before the races. Alas, I must earn some money if I want to keep participating in this so-called free sport.

Anne - hope the foot's feeling better.:wizard:

I'm sticking to swimming as my training right now. One leg is still sore. Feels like a quad strain (had one 2 years ago). Shin splints feel better. I'll be swimming tonight (although not looking forward to leaving the gym after the swim when it's 30 degrees out) Brr-r-r-r.

Have they already sold out of snow blowers and plow attachments for the lawn tractors?
